wanareef
This is a 48" x 12" x 18" 40 gal acrylic tank - soon to be sump. The top is only 12" across and the opening is a mere 6 1/4" across not enough to even get your head in there and turn around. Having a lot of scraps laying around, I found some that would make a great pattern. And since I'm using a pattern bit with the ballbrg on the bottom the corners don't have to match perfectly. (pix 4) Then just route away. Pix 2 is the finished opening. With 2 sets of baffles in place, that center brace can come out. Next, cut up some plastic to use as baffles and a sock holder.
