v3x3d
I recently set up my tank and have let it cycle pretty well. It's a 29g with only about 15lbs of LR. Since then I've bought a bunch more LR to stick in there, do I have to worry about spikes in ammonia or whatever from the new rock or should the tank be good to go? I'm sure the answer is just to test the water...
reefgeek84
yes, testing the water is the safest way to go..but really it depends on the condition of the rock..if you got this from a LFS and it is "fully-cured" then you will not have to worry about anything, but if you got it via-mail order, then yes you will need to watch for spikes...I hopw this helps. nu2reef-n
Is the "bunch more live rock" to be added, already cured? If so then I wouldn't worry about it to much. You still should test your water parmeters often, since your tank is new.
v3x3d
Yes, it's LR out of established tanks.
