Does anyone have one that they use and have good luck with it? also something that could dose magnesium would be great. dsoz Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 Same chemical, but of know purity. The stuff you get from HD is unknown purity, and not guaranteed to be safe for your tank. dsoz Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 I got one gallon of each, and have used about 1/4 of each in the two or three months that I have been using it. But I have two tanks, and one that sucks up the calcium like it was water. I under-dosed for a while, then I over-dosed for a while, now I am dosing a medium amount and think I have found the balance.
