  1. I have a bathtub i don't use much. There is either sand or dirt on the bottom of it. Will that help? I can hook it up to water or run a hose to it if needed. Let me know soon. I could use a good chalice. Favorite way to drink my grog.

  2. Ramey brings up the what I believe is the most important question as well as the second most important question.  What lights are you running, and location of coral.

Once you you let these people know what those two answers are, you will recieve great advice. Good luck.

  3. At some point that crab is going to die. At some point the mantis I'd going to need to eat.

I think you see the road I am heading down. The big deal is to make sure and get video of this.

Maybe someone has a "bad" crab you could trade your crab for?  I lost 2 emeralds last week. They are going to die at some point so you might as well make it worthwhile. I used to purchase goldfish for my Oscars, what's the difference ?

    Good luck and take care.

I used to drain my ears almost daily when my cauliflower was coming in.

I always thought my mom was goofing on me about cleaning my ears or I would grow potato in there. I guess she wasn't kidding.

  5. If you keep a close eye on this board or once you have enough posts or become a member you can start your own thread asking if someone has a reasonably priced light fixture for sale.

So many great people on this board that are willing to help so just keep poking around and asking questions.  You will be found and will be able to help others forget they were ever lost. Good luck.

  6. When I m referring to the ocean revive lights I forgot to mention I was speaking about best bang for the buck in my opinion. Remember my opinion is only worth what you paid for it and most of the time even less.

Ocean revives. Two channel control, and built in timer. I've Used them for the last two years over my frag tanks and they do well. I've got one over my 40b right now and it covers well. Two would be better though and they are about $180 each.

Very good entry level LED lights. I just bought a Radion xr15 gen 4 and wow! Huge difference but for the price tag it should be. I will always recommend the Ocean Revives to newer reefers. Not too much investment while you are still feeling out the hobby and they have grown Corals wonderfully for me :)

I have two of the ocean revives over a 40 breeder. I think they are turned down to about 50%. I had one for a long time before I bought another one. One will work just fine for a long time if not for good.

You our also don't want your tank over saturated with light. If you are going to have anything other than sticks you will want a few shaded areas here and there. Even some sticks don't want full blown light.

  8. I own an older asteroid matching, not sure of the year. Everything works pretty well but it could use new graphics on the sides and the goin box needs redone. .just needs to be freshened up. Anyone here that has the skills or know of anyone with the skills? Thank you

  9. I really do. Someone here on the board is to blame. I shall not mention his name. He knows who he is. Not all these are sticks but as you will see the ratio favors one coral over the other. post-15577-0-32961600-1488665718_thumb.jpgpost-15577-0-78048900-1488666111_thumb.jpgpost-15577-0-89868600-1488666129_thumb.jpgpost-15577-0-45852500-1488666149_thumb.jpgpost-15577-0-55045900-1488666168_thumb.jpg
