I'll take a pic in the morning it's not wanting to upload

Well look at that. I went to pick up a single gold head sleeper goby and got a pair! Wish that they would pair up more often! I got super lucky. They are beautiful ones too!

What is the max size of a bristletooth tang? I was told it stays smaller than other tangs so that it could go in a slightly smaller tank.

No they all died in quarantine. I have two ocellaris clowns.

Ok. Thank you very much!

Every time I get blue green chromis I am always left with one. I've only bought three at a time though. I've heard that it is best to buy twice as many as you want because about half of them die. Is this true? And how many in a group is best? I have a 55 gallon.

So I take it thats a get it out of there. And once I do, what do I do with it?
-
Rounded. It looks almost the same. The only difference is that its brown with lighter spots and has some hair, but not a lot. When I tried to get it out I stabbed at it a lot. It crawled away and I saw it for a little while, but haven't seen it since. Do you think I killed it?

I had a pair of brown mithrax crabs come in on some live rock. Early on I killed the smaller of the two thinking it was bad. As I started looking at the other one it resembled a brown slightly hairier version of an emerald crab. It hasn't caused any problems that I know of. The only things I am wondering about include hermits. I put in about five dwarf zebra hermits and they all disappeared within the week. Then lately I saw him under the shell of my one inch Halloween hermit and it was eating broken a broken off claw. I moved the halloween and he is still alive, but he only has one claw. Could that brown mithrax be the culprit? Should I remove him? I tried but he escaped.

Ok thank you guys. Wanted to clear that up.

What about the globs of white goo?
-
I don't know what these are and I kind of want to know.
The first picture is these tiny worm like things with a fan on there head that only show up in filters with a lot of detritus, such as my hang on filter and my old protein skimmer. There are a ton in my filter.
The second one is a little jelly like blob that has recently showed up in the filter. I think I have something like it on the underside of one of my rocks.
If these could be identified that would be great!
Thanks

Alright, thanks. I will take this into consideration.

What do you think about wet skimming? I've heard it works and I've heard it hasn't. I'm wanting to get rid of some nitrates, and I want to do this before I clean. Do you think it will help in the slightest?

Yes I was going to get some fairy wrasses. And from what I've heard, they get huge and I take a risk. Would I be better off just sticking with dwarf hermit crabs. I really like my halloween because he eats everything. There is this really tough and thick hair algae that he seems to be hacking down on. If I had to get rid of him, would a lawnmower blenny eat this type of thick algae? What I'm really afraid of is that I'm going to have a male female pair, the female is generally fairly small. That would be an easy shot for the crab. And isn't the crab that starts eating fish just a lesser likely rogue of the bunch?
-
They also have two vents underneath I learned. A male has two and the female has one.
-
I have a male bangaii cardinal. My female of the two died a while back. Is it just luck of the draw to get a female?
-
I have about a 1 inch electric or halloween hermit crab. I am planning on getting wrasse that sleep on the sand bed. Should I get rid of the hermit because I don't want to risk the hermit eating the wrasses?
-
I know that these gobies can keep your sand bed sparkling white. Can I keep them without copepods in the sand?

I don't have any coral at all, so there is no risk there. How big was your tank? Do they tend to take a while to start eating?
