  1. so for about 6 months now I have been caring for a beautiful sympodium eating nudibranch. well she has had babies and unfortunately I cant keep buying the amount of sympodium needed to keep 3 alive and thriving, so the time has come to let someone else enjoy one. I don't recommend this being added to any tank with a wrasse, trigger, puffer, or even some anthias as they will likely become food. I have them all 3 in an 8 gal nano and care is super simple. feed sympodium, keep normal water perameters, enjoy! I am asking $75 to ensure whomever is taking him home will give them a good home. I have at least 2 available. the pics are of momma, she is about 3" long babies are less than 1". thank you
  2. Sorry for the delay in reply. I only have the orange one left. Someone came and bought the rest of the babies I had, so this will be the last one for a while. I do have other kinds, but nothing like these.
  3. Not exactly, i have 6 total babies, and 4 jaw breaker babies, you are welcome to come look, if you find one you like, I can cut it off the mother or the plug if it's one of the ones really close to momma, some might be more expensive due to size, but I will be fair. Feel free to text me 208 four four zero 0369
  4. Hey Bret, PM replied. One in the left pending mr. Bret.
  5. These are not jawbreakers(orange red and green) these are game over mushrooms from joeknowsreefs. These will be orange red and purple when fully colored. The color will intensifu and change as the shrooms mature. The original momma has just started to show small specks of purple. unfortunately pics cant capture it. I also have jaw breakers, but these are slightly different. smaller one is the size of a dime but has already started turning half red. the larger is more orange with small specks of red at this time. as others have grown they have shown the red and purple even from a solid orange baby. asking $100 ea. these are natural splits, no razor cutting and they have been formed for over 2 months. Thank you, Shane
  6. So I am in need of some sympodium. anyone have any. I will gladly trade for it or buy it please feel free to pm or text me. Shane 208_four four zero-03 six 9
  7. I think the Rio coral clippers are the best. I have owned 2 pair, 1st one I gave away when I had a lfs go out of business and sell them dirt cheap, so I bought a new pair. Beats bone cutters, but those work also. The pair I own now I have had for 10 years still sharp and very little rust. I don't know if anyone around carries them in stock. If no stores carry anything, you can try a medical supply store.
  8. Thank you everyone who came out and checked out all the specials. Hope everyone got something they were wanting. Shane

  10. Like it says I am looking for a galaxy 250watt/400 watt select a watt ballast. Anyone have one available? Let me know, Shane
  11. Hobbyist grade- red sea, salifert, la motte, elos, hanna these are are acceptable. When working public aquariums I was lucky enough to test kits of these against a hach tester, and most are fairly accurate, but pose a problem when color read out is misread. They give us a guideline to keep stability.
  12. If it is a common problem, they might still fix it. I bought several things used. Tunze is one that I never hesitate to buy used because Roger doesn't care if you bought it used, New, on ebay, or found in the side of the road, he stands behind the product. Coral Vue has in the oat treated me very well, might shoot an email. If anything he might offer you a discounted motor block and impeller.
  13. Hanna checkers have their down falls also, i was just saying the api can be unreliable for number sake. Testing it against disinformation else's can give you a guidelines. Api can be used, just with caution in an sps tank.
  14. Bubble blaster pumps had a 5 year warranty. Contact Coralvue, David should help you out. Just another option.
  15. I don't trust seals and hoses. With time they all leak, orings crack, so I like extra room. Personally, I blacked out my fuge so light didn't cause algae growth on my skimmer or reactors. Also probe holders and drip line holders are a must. Just a few things I added. Shane
  16. Maybe have someone test it for you. Api is OK, but Truthfully if you are doing sps, you should have a more reliable test kit. You might come to find out the values you think you have could be your contributing factor to lack of color.

    Nicest fish

So here are my Holy grail, some more expensive, some less, and no not all are going to fit in a 90 gem tang black TANG borbonius anthias golden rhomboid wrasse lineatus wrasse labouti wrasse earls flasher wrasse flame wrasse pylei wrasse chaoti wrasse Red sea eight line flasher Hawaii flame wrasse Blue spot JAWFISH
  18. Very good point. I think people underestimate how big of particles sps corals will eat.
  19. Ca @ 380 seems low to me, but if it's stable i guess that could be OK. As said before stability is the key with sps. What test kits are you using would be another question I have. Also as stated before to low of nutrients can lead to problems also I shoot for nitrates below 2ppm, but above .5ppm. Also phosphate is an essential building block in all invertabrates, so again I shot for below .5ppt, but above .15ppt. This is all personal belief, and not wanting a debate, just starting what I have experienced. Shane
  20. Or Hmmm said all of my pictures are too big. I will try to upload them and then transfer over. Sorry
  21. Let's start with I am a pistol shrimp lover! I have 4 in my main tank and 1 in the wife's nano. First pic is of my female Japanese pistol and my purple tang.
  22. So I bought this and it was just a little to much for my tank. Anyone looking for an extremely quiet pump. Retails for 120. Only hooked up for 1 day I will let it go for $90. Pm or text for fastest response, 208.440.zero3six9 Shane
