    I think overstocking in a small tank may be a big factor here.

    I agree, what size tank is the purple tang in? Lets not forget that tangs are notorious for being ich prone.  If the living conditions are not right, I can see it being the culprit.

    I agree, the suns intensity I would assume is stronger closer to the equator. Or, is it not? and obviously cloud cover here makes a diff. But, Like they always say, u can get sunburnt even with overcast sky's. Obviously it's hotter in the summer here, but down there it's always summer but in some tropical places as much if not more rain. U can't have rain without clouds

    So I'm sitting here doing some yard work on this nice Oregon day with the sun shining on me:) and i was thinking about the suns intensity in Oregon compared to Hawaii and if u could not have lights and use natural sun. Obviously our lights are trying to mimic natural sunlight. If u matched the specific coral parameters, would the suns intensity here allow certain corals to grow?

    Ya, turbos are awesome for this purpose but they bulldoze if stuff isn't nailed down, which of course they aren't on a frag rack. Good news is everything looks good and NO algae:) one frag, most but not all of the polyps are opening. I have lost more money then I want to think about because of turbos knocking frags that I haven't glued down off rocks:( you would think this Neanderthal would learn. Nothin like a $2.50 snail killing $20-30 frags to get your blood boiling. Got to love this hobby

    So a couple zoas I bought from badxgillian decided to grow some GHA. Did the research and decided to try the ol' peroxide routine, which of course everyone has a diff opinion on how long, how much etc. Well I decided to wing it so to speak. Woke up for work last night and before I left for work looked into the tank. Lo an behold my freakin train wrecker turbo snail climbed up to my frag rack and was smothering one of the frags I dipped. [emoji79] crap! Couldn't see the zoas as he was sitting on the entire plug. Ain't no way to pull those suckers off so, I just left it. Come this morning, I get home and that dang turbo did it's job and ate every piece of Gha off of the plugs I dipped. They haven't opened up and appear to be all there, but I haven't turned on the lghts yet. Makes you wonder if he smelt it after the dipped and searched it out. Never seen him even close to my frag rack. Hopefully everything is ok:) better than them not opening I suppose cause of the gha.

    I agree icepikbiker:( everyone just decides, "hey this is a good name bbeb". That did not go over well with the wife and have been banned from getting them into tank:( my fault as I shouldn't of said what they stood for, oops. Lol

    I have I believe a 90 truvu and it never bowed. However, it is one that the sides pinch in and wasnt a rectangle. Haven't had water in it for a eon though. It was delegated to a reptile tank..

    Thanks guys! Ok, Bret can you pm me some prices so I can go over it with my better half:) I'm down in independence so Hillsboro isn't bad like an hr if I go 99 I believe. I will get a pick of the firestorm they are probably a morph or something and have to be ordered online dangit. An thanks sash, sunny d's are defiantly one we want.

    Might be easier to buy off amazon. I think I just saw one for $29 plus shipping ur looking at 35 plus calibration so around 50. But of course always good to shoot a shout out to us peeps

    Sunny d, Darth maul, red hornet, fruit loops, Rastas, utter chaos, firestorm. You get the picture:) let me know what you have and we go from there. This post will be an open post as I can't obviously buy everything right now as some of these are more high end etc. Might be only one I can buy per transaction etc. Of course that is depending On Location and price you're welling to sell for.
