  1. Yeah that's my problem as well I'm never happy. And I like caves and ledges. I moved some if my rock work around to find detrius in between the rock work. I think this happened because I used small pieces to try and fill spaces, because I was told the more LR the better. So I added a lot of smaller pieces just created issues that I didn't see. So I'm thinking I'm going to take them out and move some stuff around so I limit dead spots

  2. Ok So I got a electric ballast, and am trying to splice the connection end from my magnetic ballast to my jbj to the electric ballast. Problem the electric ballast has 3 wires green (neutral) black (-) white (+) I'm guessing lol. The jbj end I need to splice. Has 5 wires tan/brown, yellow w/ green stripe, white, black, and blue. Anyone every try to do something like this?

  3. The reason I ask is because my wife last week threw bombs off in my house (Monday) And Tuesday of last week went and used some flea any killer for our trim. She didn't know about covering my tank and shutting off my air pump. So I had my RBTA die Thursday clown die 5 hours later. And pep shrimp die the next morning. I test water everything was good, did water changes every day, and things just started getting worse. So instead of losing all my coral I took them out and gave them to a buddy. So I'm wondering if the rock is bad now? Don't really want to by 30 lbs of all new rock. And want to.put new sand in my tank, cause if I move the rock, I'm pretty sure it'll cause my tank to cycle again

  4. no buddy your not cheap. At least you got a decent powerhead. I went cheap and got two oceanic powerheads. They looked small. But weren't, looked ok, But horrible in my tank extremely pin point flow on them. and the ball joint on them broke in two weeks. Ugly and cheap. Worst mistake I made in reefing so far. Lol

  6. Yup coz hooks me up. Thursday I got 15 gal of water for 6 bucks, and I got a perfectly working magnetic ballast for my tank for 30 bucks, he threw a mj1200 for my jbj for free. Also has mp40 X3 for 300 each. So he's always been great with me. And I don't spend a lot of money there everytime I go there.

  7. Ok So I'm guessing my ballast is going to The drain. It has trouble turning on from time to time, And I have to sit there like a cave man to.try to get it to fire on, or humm..... So my ? Being is there anything I can do myself to fix it. Is there a ballast the will work for it rather then forking out the 200+ bucks for a new ballast through jbj.

  8. Have you thought of going through temp agencies? Aerotek is a good one, they usually find you.jobs in general labor pay really good. Ask for Kyle waterland. Last job I had was taking apart tvs and computers for about 13 and hour. Fun stuff
