I have been looking at using 20w 14000k LED Floodlights for my new 100 gallon. I can get them for about $50 a piece on ebay. I have done some research online and found some people that have done this but would like to know if anyone local has tried them. I bought a used 100 gallon plexiglass tank that I finished sanding and polishing. Now I am thinking of cutting out the top and leaving a 1" to 2" rim on it. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?

Do you still have skimmers? I am in need of one for my new 100 gallon
