  1. I have a ducans coral with multiple heads. when we got it it had a little bit of green algee on it. the problem is its gotten a lot worse and i think its starting to kill the ducans coral. we pulled it out of the tank and srubbed as much off as we could, then put it back. it seems like its growing faster. grr... I got a good deal on this coral and dont want to watch it die. the algee is only on the ducans coral, it hasnt spread, doesnt seem to interested in leaving this coral alone. its dark green algee. I would appreciate any ideas, advice, or remedies.

    thanks :)

  2. hey everyone,

me and my husband, got a pair of sea grass wrasse a while back. We were told they were reef safe, but not long after adding them to our 100 gal system, all are shrimp were dead, and a couple snails and crabs and what not.I guess reef safe doesn't include inverts then lol we originally wanted a pair of leopard wrasse. but i hesitate because im thinking they will kill the same things.

we are trying to decide what kind of wrasse we want to put in our 135 gal full reef system.

I want to have inverts, soft corals, fish, the whole nine yards.

just curious, is there any wrasse that are good with inverts/crustaceans (mainly shrimp and crabs)?????

or are all wrasse gonna eat mainly the same things.

    thanks:D

  3. thanks everyone.

i agree its awfully hard to pass up a 14 day guarantee. i could have had a couple things reimbursed at this point. I love the premium Aquarium, that's where i got most of everything i have in my tank. the prices are higher then the stores, but i really enjoy the customer service and the people working there, so i don't mind paying more some times. happy to support the local LFS. Im thinking of pursuing a online site for the one time shipping fee, and the 14 day guarantee, seams like if im buying multiple things it would be worth my while.

  4. Hey everyone.

so i just got a 135 gal setup and a 100 gal setup, with nice rock and sand. (the sand and rock arn't live anymore, do to being out of water for some time)

I'm going to need to cycle both these tanks for a while to start them up again.

I was curious if there are any fast and reliable starter bacteria out there that would help cycle them faster??

anyone had any good or bad experience with any starter products on the market??

also is there any other tips to cycling a tank faster?

  5. i actually just got a 135 gallon and a 100 gallon both complete setups with super nice rock and Mexican crushed coral sand for 550. it pays to wait and shop shop shop around.. so excited(clap). The hubby is actually making canopies for them right now. cant wait to set them up.(rock2)

  6. Hello there

I'm looking to buy a complete 125 gal saltwater reef setup, with Stand, canopy/hood ,Sump filtration system ( including pumps and plumbing), Skimmer, Good Lighting, Power Heads, Etc..

Setup doesn't have to have sand, rocks, or live stock, but if any of the three are included it would be a great bonus.

I'm on a budget, I can spend up to $500

I would really love to give a good tank a GREAT HOME.

If you have something you think i might be interested in, PM me, with pics.

    Or email me at Vivaciousfox@yahoo.com

    thanks for your time

    Joany
