  1. I built my wife who’s a teacher, a little nano/pico tank in her classroom. It’s just running an hob filter but I think it needs more water movement. It’s an 8 gallon tank. What’s the best pump to throw in there that’s not going to be overkill? She will probably do one fish and a clean up crew and I may try to toss a couple easy softy’s in there for looks. I don’t wanna blast the fish and coral with too much tho. Any recommendations? Thanks!

  2. Just got back into the hobby after a 6-7 year hiatus. This is my current set up. 45 gallon Jbj. Old style with the curved corners. Built/glued the aqua scape myself. So far it’s pretty bare. Running a Tunze9004 skimmer, temp controller with a heater and fan, xr15 gen4 and a gyre wave maker. Livestock so far includes, 1 frostbite clown, 1 regular ocellaris, a fairy wrasse, a conch snail and for coral just a candy cane with 4 heads, a Duncan, and not pictured is a frag of gsp glued to the back wall. So far everything’s thriving. Excited to see how this tank looks in a year with more fish and more coral. Thanks for checking it out!

  3. I have 60-70 lbs of nice dry/ dead rock. I cured about 40 lbs of it and used it in my new set up and so far it’s thriving. Looks great! It’s all on the medium to small size. Few good size pieces but mostly mid size. Will sell cheap to get it out of my garage! Dollar a lb unless you take it all then will discount it! In Sherwood. Thanks

  4. We ended up taking advantage of Petcos half off sale. Got her a little cube tank for her class room but still in need of a decent light. Probably won’t put much for coral in, maybe a Duncan or something easy but if anyone has light for sale/trade/donate let me know.

  5. Anyone have a strong opinion on the Hanna salinity tester? Getting back into the hobby after taking a 6-7 year break. Back then I was a poor college student and was only using a hydrometer (I know 😕) I wanna get good testing equipment this time around so thought I’d see how everyone felt about these salinity testers. Thanks!
