  1. One of the exciting things is being able to collect your own livestock for free. How many different varieties of zoas and palys will I be able to find?

Last I heard collecting any corals in the islands (stony and soft) was a huge no-no that comes with jail time if you're caught. I'm also pretty sure importing (from the mainland) is very regulated and may even be prohibited under the invasive species act.

Fish however are another story. You can collect and keep any fish that you can catch with a standard fishing license

  2. I just wanted to through out a thank you to everyone on this forum.

Thanks to all that have given their best advise

Thanks to all that give the new guy some corals to get started

Thanks to all of you guys that step up and help a fellow reefer out

Thanks to all that give their time, efforts and skills to keeping this forum and community together

  3. don't place it right next to the algae during lighted hours' date=' they will run and hide until nighttime. Also they can disappear under your sand, I'm not sure how he does it... He is the size of a tennis ball but lays under my 1.5" sand bed.[/quote']

Ok, so this makes me wonder if mine is still around. I picked one up from TPA a few weeks back and he was very out in the open for a couple days and then I never saw him again... couldn't find a body, no ammonia spike, no sign he was ever there and with my light stocking there's no way a carcus could have been eaten

  4. I built the stand for my 120... It would probably hold up a semi truck without a problem.

If you wanted help with plans or anything I'd be happy to lend a hand... Heck, If you wanted to come over we could probably build it in a couple hours
