  2. Thanks for the info I will check out those cermedia blocks for his tank, appreciate it.

No problem, I would also consider the call versions over the block if tight space is needed. I had to custom cut the blocks and it wasn't the funnest or cleanest task....

  3. Hmm, dang that can be frustrating. If you turn off skimmer do the bubbles go away after a couple of hours? If so, it surely must be the return pump.

This is an interesting build thread, thanks for the details. Now that my son is setting up a 60 gallon AIO I find myself scrutinizing the filtration details quite a bit. more.

How is that block working out for you?

Do you run and kind of filter media / sock type material?

The bubbles don't go away. I use the sock around the return pump, carbon in one sock and purigen in another. The CerMedia blocks I think are very helpful. I'm not going to risk taking them out to see what happens, but I feel they are doing well...

  4. No problem haha. So sometimes it's very bad and sometimes it's not much at all. I don't see a difference when the skimmer is on or off... So I think it's safe to assume it's partially the pump. Maybe I'll just change my filter sock around it more often and have to deal with the little bit. I might look into getting the spinning nozzles as well..

  5. I'm getting micro bubbles in my system that I can't get to go away.... I'm to the point I think it's the pump. I have tried raising the water level, putting a filter sock over the return pump... I don't see a ton of micro bubbles coming from the skimmer which makes me think the pump is creating them...

  6. Very nice! I have the same tank that I am trying to set up after I get all of my equipment together.

I would definitely recommend the media block in the back and the skimmer. Tight fit but we'll worth it! Maybe go with the ball version of the media so you don't have to cut it like I did.

  7. Better late than never I guess...

    I have a 30 Nuvo Fusion

    Sand: Figi pink(or something similar)

Rock: real reef reef rock(man made)

Fish: Blue tang(trading in when it grows, she has plenty of swim room) and a yellow corris wrasse.

Coral: SPS dominant with Acans to come. I'll name off the list later.

Skimmer: Reef octopus BH-50 INT nano skimmer

Other Filtration:Standard nuvo filtration, BRS activated carbon, purigen, CerMedia Marinepure block cut and placed in back

ATO: tunze nano osmolator nano in a 30 gallon reservoir.

Instead of dosing or setting up a reactor I am replenishing half a gallon of water 3 times a day after removing half a gallon. Once my sps colonizes more I will set up my reactor.
