ya that's true. and everything is still very shook up from my recent heater explosion. but do you think a 250 watt HQI and two 65 watt PC lights are to much for a 40b?

ya i try not to move it. and there is a flat piece of LR under it. where is was sitting i think it was getting way to much light because all it did was release slime and barely open. but know its looking a little better. it us to open allot more before i upgraded my lights.

dose my clam look healthy? i moved him down on the sand today and he is looking a little better! i think he was getting to much light where he was.

it was a 200 watt Marineland Visi-Therm Heater

So about a week ago my heaters in my reef tank blew up. and my temp in my tank went from 78F to 90F+ so i lost most of my sps frags and my fish. but know most of everything that is alive is almost fully recovered. But unfortunately my maxima clam is only opening about 50% of what it use to. Do you have any idea what i can do to help it along?. My water quality is back to where it should be. but know i have algae again tanks been up and running for 6 months and never had algae like this. it’s like i am having to cycle my tank once again lol.

so it has been just about a week after my heater blew up and everything is starting to recover and open up again. i am so surprised even my poor clam is almost fully opening up. i went out and got my self a new titanium heater from patrick at saltwater fanta-seas its working great! only thing i have to worry about now is all the new algae i have growing all over the tank.

that's a great clam! hope it works out for you. if you start having problems with it let me know i would be more then happy to take it off your hands lol

ya i love it! but i have to much live rock in my tank. in most places it cannot turn around anymore so i feel a little bad.

this is a 3.5 inch fighting conch for sale. i have had it for a few months and it is getting to big for tank. very active and helpful sand sifter . willing to trade or sale. i payed $20 at saltwater fanta-seas when it was smaller. so asking $15 obo

so know its has been just over 24 hours after my heater has blown up. my clam seem to be ok for know . most of my corals and anemones are still closed up and don't look to happy. but my brain coral looks really unhappy. any idea what wrong? other then geting Cook and shock last night? is it dieing?
