Can you provide a little info about tank,  dimensions, what it’s made of, drilled or not

Oh right, sorry that would probably be helpful haha!

the tank is 30x30x25 with x2 bottom drilled holes for drain and return (1 inch iirc), rimless glass.

Gold Strip Maroons are $26 each. The Gold Nugget Maroons are $65 each, the start out looking like a Thunder Maroon ( all white body ) and the white turns to the golden color as they mature.  Availability can be 2 business days from when the order is placed.

  3. I'm getting rid of the tank in order to downsize for a bit. I'm replacing it with a couple 40s and a couple 20s, a friend is looking me up with.

Accepting trades/cash. I paid 350 for it, but I'm easy come easy go, so don't hesitate on offers.

P.s. Almost all of the stuff in the tank is up for grabs too, since I'm going to grab some designer clowns and do the new build around them.

I run the 240 and my water level is right at the Black ring with the pump running full speed and the valve arrow to arrow (open all the way)

It runs really dry that way which is what I prefer. Only been running it for a few months but so far it pulls out some nice crap. I’ll try to snap a pic tonight default_smile.png

    Wait......what  the heck is Brook????

Brooklynella hostilis is a parasite of marine fish, found in wild fish, farmed fish and aquariums. In marine aquariums, it is most commonly found in clownfish. It feeds on dead skin cells and can cause severe damage to gills.

  6. SoI lost all my fish except the blue/green Chromis to ich and brook. Tried to QT and save them but the diseases were too aggressive.

Since the fish were in the QT I got some more LPS/SPS, emerald crab, assorted cleanup crew, did some aquascaping, arranged the sump, etc..
Here's some pics I took this morning.

My guess it's a poor man's sump and the smaller tank is the return area

I'm actually going to be using some 1/8'' acrylic to separate things out. The small tank is for some breeder Darwinian Island clowns, and the rest will be sectioned off for a skimmer and return area.

  9. I recently obtained a 95-gallon cube display tank, after my brand new 75-gallon exploded while drilling the drain hole.

Anyways, I finished setting up the new tank build this evening and wanted to share it with you all.

The stand measures at 40x31x37 and was constructed out of fir. I also used deck screws all around and metal supports at the corners for stability. Soon I'll go around the outsides with a nice cedar trim, and put curtains on the sides that I left open for sump access.

For now, since the majority of the stand is complete, all I need to do is finish adding water, and then wait for the s*** and sand to settle. Then I'll be taking pictures of what really matters!

    Cheers!

    Michael

  10. So my 75gal (birthday present) broke while we were drilling the hole. For some that would be the worst day ever. But with friends like TPA, I was about to turn my frown upside down.

So hello to the new to me 93gal cube, and the other stuff.

    Thanks again, Garrett @ThePremiumAquarium

More pictures to come. Plus custom stand being built tomorrow!

Giving us a budget would also help. Cuz some lights a crazy expensive and some aren’t so bad.
Like Ocean revives are super nice and about $200 a pop. Let’s you control two channels even though it’s full spectrum. One would probably cover your tank.

The AI 26 on the other hand is about $350 a pop and you might need two. But it’s controlled over WiFi and has 7 channels of control I think.

Budgets and I, and this hobby are like an elevator in a 1 story house. I just don't set one anymore.

Also, I decided after this long 2 weeks, that I'm going to spend the birthday money on a 95gal cube, and look into building/programming an t5/led light.

    Cheers!
