  1. I like the rock work in the biocube' date=' should be sweet once ya fill it all up.[/quote']

thanks i love aquascaping and this one came together quite quickly... i like little touching the bottom and lots of open cavish areas... its actually more rock then i wanted to use but i like how realistic reef wise it looks...i wont be doing alot of corals...never liked the look of a bunch of or too many corals...gonna kepp only a couple of fish in this one too...

  2. well the first part about worms and banana bombs are from a video game called worms... which is where i got the screen name concreetdonkey... but the second part about buffalos... im not so sure about lol

buffalo of lies is a weapon.. its a turn based startegy game.. one of the only games i ever have found fun..and really kinda a cult game too...and no beiber believer here...that kid in vancouver shoulda shanked that putz....ps i am 30... man i should post some obscure statements in my threads really cause d a stir in here... nice tank pics..

  3. Sounds like you got a plan.. just trying to give you a heads up bamboo sharks aren't know for movement...nor swimming nor doing much of anything.. soundsl like you got a plan and the tank sounds cool...but i will tell you I seen it a million times all the experts in the world means nothing if a fish wont take to feeding....I cant tell you how many people have bought this breed and been so uterly dissapointed ...

  4. ok jbj.... is the best company everrrrrrrrrr...not only did i get my very fairly priced replacement tank... it also came with the pumps the rack with it full of carbon and the rest of the products... all the plumbing.......and packaged for a trrip[ to iraq and back... thank you jessica and jbj tech for being one of the only sweet companies i have dealt with in a whiel... thanks you stay tuned for the build thread....

  5. I cant believe i am first to ask this but post some pics....please.. I am starting a 29 hqi after having a large reeftank for 6+years....love nanos never had one but i do now...I just got get it on the ground and cycling... corals and fish are a good parameter for water quality issues.. for the first few years i was the water cahnge and testing maniac.. after a while i realized i dont need to be over the top about it and once i did my tank really took off.. water changes are good but dooing it just to say you did, isnt... and welcome.

  6. Heres my advice with a bambo shark .. buy a tv...they just lay there on the bottom in a corner and do nothing... and by nothing i mean nothing my buddy had one for a year and it did more swimming in the egg then in the tank...locally all the fish stores are like ewwww get this its the next thing they dont tell you you have to spot feed it and it will do nothing once it hatch's...that video is the most action i seen a bambo shark do in years...there boring...local stores here just talk them up to get those eggs out of there shop....hard to get them to eat is a understatement...imho buy another breed....if your building a tank get something exciting like a tip reef shark....just build the tank huge...the crappy part about bambo sharks is it requires a lot of volume to compensate for waste and overall survivablitly but they use none of the rest of the water volume.... i bet you could buy a fake one put it on the botom and no one would know the difference if there familair with them...I'm not being a dick I just got sucked into the whole shark thing too and was severely , (read super un-happy) and sold was the happiest i ever was in bamboo sharking...might as well been live rock.. a least i mighta got a cool hitchhiker to have to remove...

  7. Whats going on inside that skimmer? Looks like war of the worms or something.

Very cool looking tank. Love the rock and all that purple.

dude sweet tank like the look i too love those locks and where did they come from...one thing i must say is yoou got a seaclone on a huge tank.. i cant believe that skimmer can keep up.. i use one now and again on my tank that i am cycling rock in but your tank loks amazing for having such a small skimmer.. those worms were the exact same in my skimmer... and sump in places after 6 years..nice tank...get a bigger skimmer

  8. ok im back this site is kinda slow...so whats the deal is this mainly left coasters....so let me give yall a update....reef tank dissasmbled and now in the process of swapping it to my planted freshwater tank...going well i brought all my live rock and sand to work to cycle it in a couple of tanks i got here at my shop...until i get my 240 running...more importantly jbj is awesome.. that would be jbj the manufacturer no the jbj that represents them and distributes them.. yes two seperate entities.. the vendor that represents them doesnt return emails, no one is ever there to answer calls and live chat is just a option to get told theres no one available.. after long time trying to get them to respond they finally out of the blue provided me with the number to jbj the manufacturer..which was sweet got jessica on the phone from jbj and she told me they dont sell just the trim ring...major bummer....BUT...here it comes....wait for it....she says you can just buy a replacement tank by itself.. i shutter , oh no jessica how much does that cost...she says hmmmmmm 80 bux shipped...I was like i said its a 28 not a 6 or 12 ...she says yeah 80 bux.. I'm like that cant be right.. no way that tank, with everything in the tank is 80 bux... she says hold on i will check ...yup 80 bux...I say holy schnikes, I will take it...this fixes my false wall problem and trim ring issue for 80 bux ... and they insure it from ups' and there debachery of handling glass...I owe jessica lunch now cause three days later a pristine new tank shows up...yeah jbj your my hero so now im off to find where i will be placing the tank and start my new nano build....build thread here i come....

  9. hey so i been busy but my jbj nano tank is torn apart... broke the trim ring after trying fix the rear wall that became detached from the tank...now i have removed everything from the tank gotta re attach the rear wall and clean up the silicone and fix a few things,...jbj has yet to get back to me about getting a new trim ring....email is easier but seems big companies use it as a way to prolong the wait for responding...

ps that reef tank is now being converted to a planted freshwater tank...

  10. Firstly, I HATE RC cars... BUT I may have some info for you all. I race DH mountainbikes, dirt jump, ride skate parks and such. I dug trails at Meldrum Bar park, in Gladstone, for years. We always used to get into fightes with the RC car guys because they would tear up our jumps by standing/walking on the lips, plus the exhaust from those things is terrible to breath.

ANYWAY, the city of Gladstone sanctioned an area at Meldrum specifically for RC cars, and they have a huge public, free to use, out door track there. It's right on the river. If you pull into Meldrum and head down to the boat launch, it's impossible to miss.

dont hate... just cause you have no hand eye cordination.(whistle)....learn to pedal up hill too(nutty).....thats funny cause in racing indoor its a unspoken rule that the lips and faces of jumps arent to be walked on... although that is electric....gas racing and drivers are a different breed....fumes get to there head i think... that fuel is slippery to when on the face of a jump...careful

  11. yeah i got a 250 se too just put it up on ebay to see if i could get a fair price out of her.. like flying it.. just like the larger stuff little more forgiving.. flybarless have tried that yet...sounds like a pain....yeah diggers can really rain on the parade.... my 250 was bullet proof just no where indoors to fly and its always windy here so i am seeing if i can get a fair price..

  12. i did keep the lfs my friend owned stocked withthat frogspawn and branching hammer for 3 plus years...and filled every friends tank with all they could take...then it died one day when i had a massive ph spike that alos clamined that monte that was also basketball sized... this tank was nearly 40 inches deep i like a deep tanke..

  13. ps this tank was never calcium dosed or reacted ... this was skimmed and lighted no dosing what so ever as a experiment....ran great for 6 years noticed issues in years 4-6 though before those pumps murdered my tanks... come on no repsonse by the way your stcuk with the gratuitous jet boat pic...i thought i made a nice statement after it got added in somehow....what i dso on the weekends...

  14. so the second pic was after i added a lot more live ricok i had cured through a open looped attached to my tank.. it didnt react to the light very well... i was running dual 400w at 18 inches off the water for 10 hours a day...it started the algae problems and i never got it back to loking tlike the first pic.. even in the first pic i was on the down hill side of how my tank looked and when it was at its peak..imo sofites are fun but they can over power your tank quickyu especially at the light level i was running...u an see in the pics my zoo colonies were thick and my star polyps were outta control....it took sometime to recover fromt he hey i want softies stage...my reccomendation always grow sofites on rocks alone in your sand bed... to minimiize overtaking your tank...

  15. one other thing even small tangs shouldnt live in a nano....there just not gonna survive there too sensitive to water quality and parameter changes... this is just my experience and knowledge of the tang fish family...people are gonna tell you other wise but i guarentee u that u will throw 45 bucks away countless times...remember this rule when dealing with lfs too.. no matter how close you are to them.. there in the business of selling fish not keeping them alive for ever...its ahard reality i have learned dealing with several lfs locally...even the one my long time friend owned.... the will sell u anything.. i finally started researching what i was buying and realized on several occasions that i was being misinformed and sold stuff i couldnt even dream of keeping in 130

  16. Here's a new picture of Andrew's tank with his tang on the left side of the tank. His tank is pretty dirty right now and the glass shows it. We will be cleaning it up tomorrow.

nice tank .. dint take this the worng way but in this pic it looks like a window is open near it.. that will create a never ending algae problem... tanks should never be near a light source like a window.. due to heat flucuations and algae blooms...

  17. um not sure howthat happened and now i cant i posted one pic and it included my boat which is not even in that picture file...

awwwww mr blue vein of the boo tang clan.. man i miss that fish one of the first fish i had.. raised him from a quarter sized boo tang... oh and my yellow wrasse hole.....that thing was the coolest and wierest fish i ever had ... it had a kink in it ... and would break dance and whig out...then one day he jumped out of the tank and survived twice till the last suicide attmpt when i couldnt find him under the stand....rip.. wrasse hole
