  1. PC (Power Compacts) and CF (Compact Flourescents) are the same thing. If it's freshwater only I would think PC would be fine for it. If not it isn't too hard to retrofit T5's unto a PC/CF fixture.

Good to know! I would be willing to convert it if the fixture looks nice. The tank is a amazonian (blackwater) 120 gallon. It has an open top and 3D background and dark brown water. I just don't want to overdo the lighting an fight algae, or use a crappy light and fight my wife lol...

ps anyone who pays cash for the pump, I'll throw in a free Rio 2500 pump as well. ;)

  2. Hi I have a GenX PCX55 that is in excellent condition. Would like to trade it for a 48" T5 light fixture. I do no want CF/VHO etc.. I don't need anything fancy it's a freshwater tank. I would like nice looking fixture since it is going in my dining room with no canopy and a picky wife lol..

Sorry for the Google pic. My pics are too big to upload.

  3. Acrylic bio-chamber complete with drip tray and cover. I'm asking $30

(there is still a $75 sticker still on it) 24"x13"12" bottom open for customizing sumps.

    3D aquarium background (rock/root design) dims 24"x14.5". I'm asking $40.

This is one of a kind and makes a tank next level. 10 minutes to install, even if tank is established. 100% fish safe and PH inert. Professional level background, I only have one.

Sorry I can't load pics.. The site won't let me they are too big. I will happily email them to anyone. Email: justin_seals@msn.com (no PM's please)

  4. What's up man?

"Any starting tips??" Don't get started.:D

As you know I'm also coming over from FW. This hobby is EXPENSIVE but well worth it. If you stick around you will be converted. It's just a matter of time. I've been a member here since 08 and just now really getting the itch. Watch out.

Hi Trent! Thanks for the welcome. I joined a while back trying to buy a tanmk but have never come on until now. My wife prefers SW so it's only a matter of time lol..

    See ya round

  5. IS this tank still available. I have a very nice 90 g with a wooden stand and canopy. I moved here two yr ago and the tank is still in wooden crate as I had no space to set it up. I am finally moving into my new home with enough space and wouldn't mind getting my hands on this one! I am in Eugene and can drive up north to pick it up.

    Hi,

The trade is pending. I will know Friday if it is for sure or not. Would you kindly send some pictures of your setup to the email address I listed above? Thanks so much. I have interest from a number of people so I am trying to get back to them in order of email receipt if the trade falls through.

    Justin-

  6. Hi All. Names Justin and I am in Vancouver. I am FW keeper currently but run some pretty big tanks (300/220/125) and use allot of SW equipment. I've been in the hobby for some time now and managed to stay married (wife) through all of it lol! I keep and breed south American cichlids, mainly Geophagus and Satanoperca.

I plan on pokin around until I learn enough to get into SW. Any starting tips??

  7. its a really nice setup. I've seen this one in person. this is the perfect chance for someone wanting to upgrade to a larger tank. what a deal!

Thank you Kee! Good to see you here too. I am 90% on the 300 gallon you saw and I only want one tank in the garage, 220 has to go. The wife wants those rare Satanoperca I have in our bedroom. This is the only thing I have to trade for a 120 to do a biotope for them.

The trade pending currently. Will know for sure Friday. :D

  8. Who made the tank? I have a 120 Oceanic Tech I may be interested in trading.

Tank was made by Aquaview. There is not a single scratch or algea on it. No clean up at all. It is up and running so you can see everything operational any time this week.

Can you send pics and details of your 120 to the email address I gave? Yay thanks! That is exactly what I want. :D Any filtration equipment? Feel free to give me a call. lol at your sig Lowman!
