That's too bad on the magnetic strength. But I would definitely say to run them with flow going the length of tanks. Way more than enough flow. Now getting them to stay positioned on the 1" acrylic? I'm not sure...

Ya they sell these but after dropping over $500 on the heads I can't justify  $140 for two.

Looking good man! Are you going to run the Gyre pumps in that current location? Or are they going to flow end to end and they just happen to be positioned there for now?

Thanks and not sure on the gyre placement yet. Magnets are not holding thru the 1" acrylic very well.

Looks like a lab! Good idea in adding an exhaust fan. I have my setup in the basement and underestimated how much moisture it would pump into an already moist place, thinking about adding a fan myself.

I had to add a second fan as one didn't keep up.

Those are Rapid led onyx fixtures, some are going on 4 plus years now.

  6. If anyone is using bayer make sure and wear gloves, the stuff is nasty and not ok for skin contact. I highly recommend potassium chloride as it mixes clear and is available in 99% pure along with being food grade. You can buy it on eBay at $16 for 5lbs.

  7. Thought I would share some photos of the new build. Finally decided it was time to upgrade the frag system and change up the dark dank part of my basement where I spend most of my time. Cabinets built by Brian67 and tanks and sump by Envision. First pic is after the old tanks where pulled. More to come.......

  8. I have a 6'x2'x12" acrylic frag tank from the old Westside shop for sale. Needs cleaned and some buffing but no leaks and a built in overflow.  Clear acrylic on all sides. First $125 takes it home.

5'x2'x12" made from 1" and 1/2" acrylic available soon for $150

  9. Dan if you don't want them I will gladly take them back, I completely destroyed a full colony making 14 frags, side branches? Lol

This is a competition of grow out and color, I'm sorry if you where expecting a fully colored frag for this adventure.

Doesn't rtn in a couple days ha ha? What kind of comment is that?

  10. Shipping, heat packs and ice packs are typically needed. Both should be secured/ taped to the lid so there is no direct contact with the bags. There is only a few months out of the year that one or the other is not needed.

Insurance is typically not used due to the cost and most carriers won't insure live animals, if they do the cost is ridiculous. Never ship for Friday delivery as any delay along the way will result in a weekend of sitting in a cold warehouse.
