  1. OKAY look Im having zero down time with my boys in baseball and talking care of my grandmother who lives with my family. I reduced the costs hoping you guys can hopefully pull it together among yourselves and come get the package. I know everyone wants something from this, but Im not getting the time I thought I would have to price each little thing out. and the thought of getting stuck with the empty tank is depressing me. the light and the tank alone are huge portions of the cost.

are there any takers? Im really trying to avoid the whole piece it out thing if I can. and if no one can do it all in one shot, maybe everyone can pm what they are willing to pay for the items and I will make sure everyone is kept in order of PM...Sorry guys just looking to the reefers here for some help on this.......thanks everyone, and all those who expressed interest first in the thread are noted and would have priority still.

    thanks

    Jason

  2. I will sell the lights for whats fair (anyone want to chime in) but I want the tank sold before the lights, and all fish and livestock as well.

Is anyone interested in the tank. is anyone interested in the live rock also.

I have to see how much I paid for the light, its only six monthes old and I really dont expect to take a huge loss on hardware ( I realize its used but its basically perfect)

I bought the lights NIB from lowman...just can rememeber how much I paid. what do they cost new?

  3. I will go thru this and try to creat a list of what people have picked. I think I need to establish some sort of ala carte pricing for this if Im going to part it out. It would stand to reason, that if everone does thier part and can agree upon pricing. that I wont raise prices to make more money I will keep everything low so I can at least hit my target (which is a loss anyway, right...lol)

  4. Well when I joined here six months ago, I had every intention like many of us to continue forever. But in the ever changing times and the necessity to provide my two sons with more and more hobbies, we have bought two german shorthaired pointers to raise for hunting, so couple that with the boys baseball and summer coming, I feel like the fish tank will be neglected now more than ever. So here is what I have for sale.....many items were purchased from people here, and thank you for all your help while I was doing this.

100 gallon oceanic saltwater reef tank, great condition

    Gen X PCX-40 pump

    2 korelias (a number 2 and a number 3)

    30 gallon sump

    coralife super skimmer protien skimmer

    1/4 horse sealine chiller

brand new 8 bulb teklight with stands and Giesemann T5 bulbs (6monthes old)

    filtration system for water

trash can to make water and a transfer pump to push water to the tank.

24 foot no spill water line with attachment included

    fish included are

    large blue tang

    large yellow tang

    mated pair of clown fish

2 gtb anemones (this one divided in my tank)

several snails and a couple cleaner shrimp

    yellow head sand sifter

    tiger tail sea cucumber

many many fans on the rocks

    beautiful metallic green star polyps

a couple of green ricordias (sweet under actinic lighting)

one awsome bushy coral ( cant remember name) will look it up

    lots of Zoos

    nice little sps acropora

    2 green chalice corals

lots of live rock and cool little creatures that come with it.

Im sure Im missing something else.

the reason Im selling is because I bought two new german shorthair pointers and I need more time for them and less time taking care of this beautiful aquarium.

    Priced to sell at $1,100.00

I will deliver if you help me break it down and load it. any questions let me know. And yes I have some food and nets and other goodies you can have too.

    thanks for looking

  5. I will take the monti cap please and the acro.

can you email me a pic of both of them, I cant see the pictures at work due to the corp filters (no photobucket allowed ???)

I will PM you a email adress if thats okay

  6. so really how long have the pumps been used. i think I want to use one of these and I will just plumb in a T that way I can bleed off water back to the sum if the overflow cant keep up with it, you know what I mean. The price is good I just want to be sure Im not better off just buying a brand new one. let me know. Hey while Im asking al these questions how often do you get up to portland.

  7. okay I talked to CB's where i got my silent siphon, and my tank (oceanic 90 gal) has a 1" bulk for the over flow drain and 3/4 up for the pump side. so I could theoretically do a pressure rated pump that can run about 750 to 800 gallon per hour. Im going to see what I have on there now and just do something very close or like I said a pressure rated pump and use a ball valve to tune it up.. I will get back to you...

  8. I need to get an affordable exterior pump to for my power heads/overflow recirc system. I have a submersable pump that might as well be a heater, with out the chiller I got it makes my water go up to about 84 degrees, luckily Im just cycling right now and getting the bugs worked out. So let me know who has what and how much. I think I have 3/4 in from the overflow and 3/4 out to the power heads. I know 1" is better but I dont have 1" so it is what it is......darn it

anyway I have a 90 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump so I need at least a 1250 gallon per hour I think. any help would be awsome. and no leakers..LOL

  9. Thanks guys for the input thats what I was loking for and I knew rick and finch would for sure give me something to work with, and thank michael also. I know I have to live with it, but if I take some of this and some of that from everyone it helps get an idea of more people like to see and helps me broaden my ever narrow minded perception that everyone likes what I like...LOL thanks and I will update after the I do some fixing....I still have like 3 weeks before I get seriouse about inhabitants.

  10. So I got hold of a 8 lamp tech light.......and while I know there are many diffent kinds of moonlights and leds out there has anyone installed some leds into a tek light so there arent so much stuff dangling off of ones tank. I just thought it might pretty sanitary if they are all in one set up..

any answers or help to do this would be great, thanks.
