My BRS  total is much more than the emergency surgery my dog needed after swallowing a plastic toy while on a walk, that lodged in his small intestine and required resecting of his intestine. I also thought people were crazy to spend that much on their dog, until it happened to me. Still a bad idea to add up order costs in reefing.

I had a 94 x 36 x 35H tank for years. I had access from behind via a 1" piece of plywood between the tank and stand that stuck out an additional 12" in back, so I could stand on it. I have long arms but you need to do more than just touch the bottom of the tank, you need to be able to pick up things and for me that required a mask and snorkel. I would never recommend that unless you had a FOWLR tank. I had a number of long tongs and SS tongs but I still had problems with the depth. Fish only tanks are better when they are deep but deep reef tanks are a problem.

RPM in a can! I need to find some. If you want to try some heavy IPA, I have a couple of bottles of Ninkasa Babylon left over.

Why hazy IPA? I keep my garage fridge full of a number of different IPAs and double IPAs, but no hazy brews. I'm in Tigard also and I'm seeing a local trend here.

Thanks Bill. It's good to know we no longer have chloramines in our source water. I won't buy any more expensive chloramine filters.

They are really hard to get rid of, but you might be able to change them to blue clove polyps. The blue ones are much better looking.

If you want the most bang for the bucks, buy used. But you are limited to what quality lights are available used. Sets of 4' T5s are probably the most likely choice, with LEDs added now or later.

Dave, I have a few canisters that don't fit my BRS RO setup. They have the wrong thread design for the BRS. If you want to try, I'll give you one.

I would use tile with a built-in drain somewhere. A stand should distribute the weight of the tank and not crack strong tile. I had vinyl under my 500 gallon tank and cheap tile in the rest of the room, but wouldn't do that now.

I love polyp extension, a sign of tank health.

You should epoxy paint the floor too before you install everything.

Use a tray with a leak detector in it. Any saltwater on the wood even for a short time is bad news. You can still use stands inside the tray if you want.

A fan to keep moisture down will be helpful to the entire closet.
