Marine Depot has omega and pro skimmer for 58 but the LFS stores should have it or be able to get it. After reading this I already have some on order, worth a try to me.

I got a non digital timer with 15 min sections and tested it and it actually runs for 15 mins so i got it on that now so hopefully all will be well. Finally got my alk stabalized at 8 thanks to the dosing pump just wish the digital timer would work, maybe one day I can affoard a reef keeper

I didnt know they made ones with 15 min increments i have one with 30 mins and i ran it on a lamp and it ran for around 45 mins, ill go to home depot and look for the 15 min ones thanks.

I bought the 1.1 ml/min BRS dosing pump and so far I like it but whenever i try to put it on a timer the timer will turn it on but when it turns it off somehow it resets the timer. I've tried using 2 different digital timers but they were both GE brand, so i was wondering if anyone already has experience with these pumps. I contacted BRS but they basically told me that they have never had a problem with the pumps and that i need to try hooking it up to a controller which i dont have access to nor would i want to in case it would reset the whole controller.

So I made a trip to visit a friend in Lakeview and then we went to Klamath Falls so since we were so close to Medford I decided to go meet Jody and it is well worth the trip, really nice he fired up all his lights so I could check them out and gave me some great deals, worth going down to look at his setup!

Ever since i started soaking food in garlic and sprinkling some metronidazole on it i've never had ich since.

Thanks for the input, between some ideas i got off RC and the help from baking soda and BRS I've got all my parameters where i want them, PH 8.3, KH 9, Cal 420, and mag 1300 now to just keep them there lol

So i descovered my alk was at 5 Dkh so i started dosing using BRS soda ash and it was going well ph went from 8.1 to 8.3 and i got it to 7 dkh over a couple days but now it doesnt seem to want to go anymore. Its hard to dose when im working all day but the ph has gone up to 8.5 and the alk hasnt gone up anymore. The BRS calculator says that i would need 350ish ml to get 180gal to my 10 dkh target. Since i got it to 7 i've dosed 120 ml over the past 3 days and nothing. Last i checked cal was at 400 and mag was at 1250 if that helps.

Im working by diamond lake all week so probably this weekend unless something changes. Do you still have the same number?

Good news i got him to eat, started with frozen mysis shrimp and just moved on to flake! Thanks for the help.

I have a fairly new clown tang, hes been in the tank for 2 weeks or so, and he still wont eat any food I put in. He eats off the glass and rock still but doesnt care for anything i feed, i've fed flake soaked in garlic, just flake, rods soaked with garlic, just rods, and some other foods. I have him in a 25 gal tank isolated with another tang that does eat flake food, im trying to give him a good example lol, and still nothing. Anyone have something special that he cant resist or any ideas at all? As soon as he eats ill put both tangs into my 120.

I hate those things! I use to have them and they spread out of control. When i switched tank i made sure they didnt go into my new tank but thats just my opinion

I got some gold colored ones on a acro frag from jody

I have a 4 bulb T5HO over my 55 and my sps frags do fine, but that metal halide fixture would be ideal because not only do you have the power of the metal's but it has VHO's also so you can put some super actinic VHO's and add more color to your corals.

Wow! You need to keep that on the frag tank for sure
