  1. I checked it out and though it is a beautiful sump, it is shown as 24" wide. I believe that is the same as a 210. Would it fit in the stand under the tank?
  2. I am going to be upgrading the 100g to a 210 probably within the next 6 months. I am looking into a prefab refugium rather than building one from a 75g tank. One that has caught my attention is the Aqueon ProFlex Sump Model 4. It is selling for about $300 on the net. Has anyone had any experience or knowledge about this refugium? If so please share. Thanks, Gene
  3. I am looking for a good UV Sterilizer that won't break the bank. Do you all have any recommendations/preferences? I was looking at this one http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem.aspx?category=Coralife_Turbo_Twist_12X_36_Watt_U.V._Sterilizer_Up_To_500_Gallons_36_to_40_Watt_UV_Sterilizers&vendor=Coralife&idProduct=ES77070&IdCategory=FIUVUUTO&child=ES77072&tab=1&size=36%20Watt%20(up%20to%20500%20gallons) .
  4. Cool. I'm off to search the DIY section. Where did you get your required parts from? Thanks
  5. I have a 30" Current PC light fixture and I would like to convert it to T5's. Will the ballast power T5's? It looks like it will hold 4-6 24" bulbs if it will. It won't have individual reflectors, but that is ok. It is just over the Clown Condo and just has softies in it.
  6. These pumps are awesome. I have them working together in Nutrient Transport Mode and there are no dead spots anymore. The Fish/coral are adjusting to the higher flow rate and at 40-50% level don't seem to mind it. After a couple of days I'll try raising it up a notch again. I sure am glad you all helped talk me into getting two of them.
  7. Hydrometer, all I have ever had. Milwaukee PH tester and the normal test kits.
  8. Too funny its a feeding clip. Here's the right side.
  9. No worries, I can wait. I was just trying to find out how sensitive the softies are when first setting up a new tank. This will be my first soft only tank except for a small piece of frogspawn.
  10. I need to build a hood and I want more blue in my light. I really like the growth I am getting out of the 10k Ushios so I was thinking about building in some T5's or VHO's into the hood. I know alot of you guys like the 14k-20k range but the growth I have gotten out of my acro in the last 6 months blows me away unless that is normal and I am just new to sps. I don't know much about the VHO's except they are larger than the T5's. Ialso don't know much about the Pure Actinic except that it is more of a purple and it would be washed out a little by the MH's when they are on. Any recommendations or preferences? Here are a couple of pics showing the growth with the 10k bulbs. February, a few pieces of acro on the right plus a small BN you can hardly see. August, same location and all growth. No new additions. Is that normal growth pattern for acro?
  11. I know, the patience is a virtue stuff or something like that. The rock will go in tomorrow and the tangs will just have to wait for a little more swimming room just a while longer. The rock should be pre-cured, it will be coming out of Garrett's tanks.
  12. The acro has been removed and the BN has the large rock all to itself again. I thought the acro would be easy to remove but it had grown across the rock and had attached in 4-5 spots. It was a bear to remove.
  13. Speaking of crazy. Have you started the 700g yet? Are you gonna do a build thread?
  14. The Sunlight Supply 48" Tek light fixtures are nice. They come in 4,6 & 8 bulb models.
  15. The shrooms are all a fuzzy green/reddish brown, maybe 2 "superman" shrooms and one super hairy metalic green shroom. I decided to hold off on the Zoas and polyps. They have had a hard enough of a time in the big tank already.
  16. Thanks, LS was my favorite haunt. Are you going to become a Sponsor?
  17. It is lightly but nothing that can't be adjusted.
  18. Good, I have some LR with shrooms and zoas next.
  19. Hand helds and test kits. Water was just added last night.
