Apex is using REST API and you can interface with it. I created a custom scheduler for Trident as I found built in schedules limited for my needs. I also wrote a scheduler to dump Apex data into RavenDB to get my own reporting. There is a lot you can do if you are willing to put time into it and create code.

I run Clarisea on my RSM 650 for 2 years and change the roll about every 4-6 weeks. Looking forward to John's report, in the future, as I am considering a similar route. Would not run the tank without roller anymore, sock are such a hassle.

Welcome to the group! I live in Salmon Creek area as well.

I love the roller mats, can't imagine dealing with socks again. Looking forward to your sump under the tank. It is something I may consider as well, when time comes.

John, really sorry about your coral loss. I run into unexpected loss a few months back with my torches and otehr SPS. All params looked good with no large swings. When I sent my water sample for testing, I found out that I was low on Iodine. Some, survining corals are recovering but I know exactly how you feel. At least I was able to find the cause of my die off. I am rooting for you, but you may have to add this one to the list of misteries of life.

I notice nobody mentions the Neptune Systems COR-20 Intelligent Return Pump that is part of the Apex accessories. Something I don't know, other than the price is steep? A bit of a surprise given Apex is pretty popular overall on the forum.
Price too steep + reputation of the pump is not that great, imho.

Regarding the Jebao..... Do you guys mean these? Would sure agree, the price is right. If plumbed in pairs for redundant backup, pretty hard to beat the value.
I use these Return Pumps - ReefBreeders.com because you get US based warranty and Apex connectivity.

I love Jebao pups for their quality and price. I am controlling them via Apex. I buy two at the time and plumb them in both and use one in a stand by mode. and still save money over 'top' brands. Using Apex I can switch the pumps from anywhere, in case of failure. Did not had to do it, yet.
