  1. No, thank you. It's because of your continued support and patronage that make it all worth doing. Im glad it's doing well for you. doesnt look like I'll be doing a sick bay anytime soon....LOL

  2. I do have a question though....and I am sure this will be taken wrong. I do feel quite bad for the little girl that R2R is helping, but I am curious why we aren't doing anything like this for all the kids local to us with the same or similar conditions.....there are just as many here with cancer and other ailments along with homeless and so on. Seems we could look "in our own backyards" for someone to help too....

again to recap to try and avoid an explosion.....

I AM down to donate to the cause laid forward in this thread

I AM down to purchase tickets to raise funds

I DO feel bad for this girl

    and

I do think we should be helping those local to us. R2R is doing a bang up job helping that girl and her family....I think locally would be more heart felt. JMO...

AGAIN I AM ALL FOR THIS CAUSE....don't want this to be taken wrong like EVERYTHING else I say.

Reason I say this is R2R is running a fund raiser while charging $300+ for sponsorship....each month....each sponsor....they already have the means to help right there with 40+ sponsors

Hey, stop stealing words from my mouth.(laugh)
  3. If I stood by and watched the fish be "rodeoed" as you called it and then chose to accept the fish after the fact I would have not asked for a refund. On the flipside, I think if I had seen this take place I would have stated why dont we hold off until the fish calms down and isnt so stressed out. Gladly to complete the purchase on another day. Even leaving the money as a deposit pending a healthy fish. But thats just me.

  4. I guess thats the biggest difference with this board and the "other" web forums. This site is member driven and not owned by any one particular person. The greed factor has taken over on some of the other sites and sponsorship pricing as gone up drastically? But the trick is there isnt even a quoted guideline, criteria, or pricing structure on how to become a sponsor. You have to email someone on what the cost is and you can pay there quoted rate or if you have a coral they want, they'll take that as part trade. At least PNWMAS does have a board that helps determine these issues. It may take a while to resolve things sometimes, but hey it's better than having one guy in complete control.

  5. Thats right!!! Amy one can go spend the $ to be a business and then get accounts at wholesalers and there Hobie just became cheaper. Something needs to be done about the wholesalers and who they sell to and what they conceder a business. Also IMO the group here should also implement some kind of rules or guidelines for what an appropriate sponsor should be' date=' plus charge more for sponsorship.[/quote']I thought you guys already had those "standards" in place. I didnt realize all this time that anyone could become a sponsor by simply requesting it.
  6. The birdnest skeleton is now smiling at me, and waving his little hand, and fading away.

He hears dead corals. I have a ricordea that died but there is still some tissue left on the rock. If I hold the rock up to my monitor maybe you could put your hand on your monitor and tell me why my ric died.(nutty)

Just kidding Alex, thats some good homework you did.
