30g project
in D.I.Y
Ok well here is the start of my 30 gallon tank with custom stand and possible 3 tier filtration. I just purchased a JBJ 150w MH for the lighting. The tank is acrylic with dimensions of 20x24x17.5. By dimensions it is a 36g tank with 30 for display and 6 for refugium built on back.

I am starting a new thread in the DIY forum entitled "30g project" Joel from Waves is going to take part in it and I would really like to have you involved as well. Anyone else too....the more advice and input I get the better and easier this turns out.
-
Yes sir...what do you think about the light I just purchased? Will it cut it?

Joel, I plan to come down there on Wed Dec 31, I will bring the tank that I have been talking about with me so you can see what I am working with. I will also start a thread here in the DIY section with pic's of the tank today so you, if you wish, could take a look and have a heads up on the tank before I get there.

I work from 3 to 11p and my days off are wed and thu. I just purchased and should recieve a JBJ 150w MH. I believe it is a clip on but that should suffice right? Thank you for the Sketches there WANAREEF.

I am not a company out here, however I did run one in SoCal. I am just a reef-addict like yourself.

I have been a computer technician for the past 13 years. The last year or so has brought many changes. I now am married and have my first child on the way. 2 more months. Anyway, I am in need of upgrading my lights so I can upgrade tanks. I have a 12g nano that I would like to upgrade to a 36g. I have the tank already, however the lighting in it is not sufficient for what I want to house, SPS and such.
So I am offerring computer support at a discounted rate for all PWNMAS members. Normal rate for my service is $75 an hour for residential and $125 for commercial. I will give any PWNMAS member a discount of no less than a flat rate of $50 an hour. Home users need not worry I will also discount the amount of hours that I bill as to keep cost down for you.
Either PM me, email me at stinknut@comcast.net or eric@xpertconnections.com, or you can call me at 503.746.5234. My name is Eric and I promise you, you will not have any complaints about either my service, timelyness, or quality of work. You owe me nothing until you are satisfied with the work performed on your computers. I am familiar with everything from Windows 95-Vista and am currently BETA testing Vienna or commonly known as Windows 7, Microsofts newest installment due to be released shortly.

Any input will be appreciated. I still do not have a skimmer or anything other than what you see here and the light. Does anyone think that the JBJ 150w MH will not be enough light?
