  1. Are you going to do the whole east to west, sunrise, sunset thing? I think it is awesome and if we decide to stick with LED's we are going that route. I have been very happy with my LED tank.

  2. Yes you can. Best person here in my opinion is Miles (impur) I believe he runs bare bottom sump for ease of cleaning. I have a little LRR in my sump with my CC star who has been in there for 6 months or so. Bought him to feed my harliquin who met a quick death when I forgot to feed my tank for a few days and the wrasse got hungry. You might want to invest in bone cutters to cut pieces of the starfish....they make it WAY easier.

  3. I think I might be interested in this. I have sand....sugar sized that I just got from Rick....but I currently have a 5 inch sand bed which I am being told is a bit much....so I could fill a bucket (easy 50lbs) if you are interested.

  4. did anyone have him clean his cookies first and see what that did??? some temp files and cach will slow up vista

That's kinda what I was thinking.....in addition to seeing what all start up process he has going on. There maybe some kind of background action causing sluggish responses.(scratch)

  5. To keep on topic....the only real things to consider here are what falls into your allotted budget and what will do all you need it to do....from what I am reading from you here either a MAC or a PC will work....but the PC will most likely be cheaper.

  6. Andy nailed it. A good person also to talk to would be either Reefit or Frank....Frank had or still has....I think had...a huge clam....and I think it went to Reefit although I am probably mistaken. Either way Frank would have some good pointers and info as well as Reefit....or Garrett....he is always good for info too.

so....recap....points of interest are Andy, Garrett, Reefit, Frank, and of course Grassi....that dude is like an encyclopedia....well between the 2 of them they are encylopedia's....gotta remember Grassi is a combo platter there.

  7. When I read/hear ignorance like this I never know to feel sorry or embarrassed for the person saying it.

you are right....according to the last survey it was 7%....not 2%....I stand corrected. No need to feel embarrassed

"85 % of the market is captured by windows, 7% MAC, 8% is either unknown....Linux...and so on"

according to Google statistic's the break down goes like this....stupid statistics....so ingorant

  8. The general population' date=' as a whole, is not known to be the best informed on a great many subjects. Computers are just one of them (just look at the Nov. elections). If they were, more people would own Macs and the Democrats wouldn't have done as poorly as they did.[/quote']

ok dang it....now that is funny. I have to give it to you there.(clap)

  9. Dang that totally sucks. Losing a fish blows....but then when it starts a chain reaction it really starts to suck. The one time I lost 80% of my fish is when I considered getting out of reefing altogether. But I guess it is part of the whole learning experience.

Those Bi-color anthias are sweet. I will be getting some of those at some point here.

  10. Interesting.....now I am considering this. I have always been interested in cold water just never found anything that made it worth while for me. But an Octopus is the only other SW creature I have yet to own that is on my hit list.....well....that an a killer whale....but realistic thought tells me that will never happen....

  11. Thanks Tanktop....I am happy you quoted it for me. Let me respond in a method that SHOULD be understood....it does have a picture so it should be easy....but you never know.

now try to respect your friend and not hijack his thread.

  12. For people who now very little about computers and just want it to do what you want it to do' date=' Mac is the best by far. For everyone else it is arguably still the best...:p I own both but my mac has always been 100% reliable and well, even the best pc can't do that(whistle)[/quote']

so good that only like 2% of computer users in all aspects are MAC users. By all aspects I am takiing into consideration business as well....so for instance my company only has like 10k PC's and 0 MAC's....pretty good ratio right there(naughty)

  14. Michael, if you still need assistance I will be online all day. Just hit me up. I can remote in and assist for the most part. If your OS is in need of a reload then I wont be able to do that remotely but everything else I can. If you want I can take a look at it and see what modifications or adjustments I can make to assist you.

  15. Not a real one...Australian Cattle Dogs were created by crossing a domestic breed dog with a Dingo to create a hardy dog that can work in the hot Aussie Outback. So they're only 1/2 dingo...still kinda wild beasts though.

But like you love sharks...I'd LOVE a real Dingo (especially now my kids aren't babies anymore lol) (whistle)

That's awesome. Must be a cool dog. Very nice(clap)

  16. this is the best security guard fish ever. If it's a pest he will hunt for it and eat it. Very active and friendly to most if not all other fish too... As long as these are available there is no need for a pesky 6line wrasse...

totally agreed. As long as these are available I will avoid putting a 6 line in my display at all costs....well....actually now I would love to put a 6 line in(naughty)
