There are two nicest overflow that I have seen in my life, one is Steve's built tanks and the other is Saltwater Fantasea's clams tank. I like Steve idea best, the pictures here doesn't explain well till you all need to see it in person. Now I am thinking so hard about building a tank like this. I dont like acrylic but in this case I just buy the tank from Steve if he is selling it :-)

I saw the tanks that Steve built, I believe this is one of the best cube tank out there. I wish I have one like this. I am into cube tank, and this is really the best one I have see in person. If Steve can built another one like this in glass then I would love to have one. *hint hint* You gotta see it in person to see how nice it's. The overflow is really clean and all flow into the back. The drain pumps is really silent, you hear no water falling down to the sump. Nice job Steve, if you ever have free time and want to experient to built want with glass I would love to let you built me one :-) I will pay for all the matterials, parts and labors :-)

At seahorse they have a bottle get ride of cyno... I had that same issue, I changed the light bulbs didn't work, put more flow still didn't work. I talked to Issac when he was still working at Seahorse, he told me use the bottle they sell there to get rid of cyno and it did. I haven't see cyno again :-) I still have over half of the bottle but too bad I am way too far from you or else you can have it.

Man this will consider expensive fish food, beside all the ingredients (did I spell it right?) cost punch of money already. Now I have to spend money to buy all the fish food only blender, bowl, knife and stir. Anything out there cheaper? :-)

My SCWD failed on me a few months ago, I was going to throw it away but before I did that I found a few people on nano-reef had done a mod to it. I just wondering anyone here in our forum have done it? Here is a copy of the link they mod their SCWD http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76847&st=0 , I have no tool or equipment to mod my SCWD. The cost of buying tools to do the work would cost me more for a new SCWD :-) I am willing to pay for the Mod parts and some labor.

I have an idea' date=' since this is a grow out contest, the total polyp count isn't necessarily important. What if, instead of cutting off extra polyps, we just take note of how many each person started with. That way if some of the frags end up with extras at the beginning, you don't have to stress them any more by cutting. Just note the total at the beginning, and then the total at the end. Who ever has the largest number of polyps minus the number that they started with wins. Just an idea to stress these animals as little as possible.[/quote']
I am in with this idea, cutting a new growth polyp seem to be too cruel. (nono)(nono)(nono)

In wall room divider reef tank info!!!

Hello all,
My gf and I are starting to look for a house here in GP, since the housing market still low we plan to get a house before it go back up. Next couple weeks we will do a lot of house searching. My goal is to buy a one level house with 3 bedrooms and two baths. Ideally I want my bedroom sharing the same wall with my living room. I want to remove the wall between my bedroom and my livingroom and replace it with a in wall reef tank that is a divider, we can see the reef tank from either side of the room.
I did a google search for room divider reef tank and its not giving me a lot of informations. Does anyone know where I can get a lot of information about it or lots of pictures for the setup? Thanks, Benny
