  1. Okay...in fear of deletion....lol

    Central Oregon folks...

Anyone (or spouses) in CO looking for part time work? I'm looking for someone with experience in housekeeping. Your coverage area will be Madras to Lapine, Camp Sherman to Prineville so you have to be willing to travel. I pay up to $75 an hour. In the past three weeks I've given out 35 hours of work (just to give an idea) You must have experience, a camera and be willing to drive. When I need you to work you'll have 2-3 days to get it done at your convenience and you need to be able to leave a house spotlessly clean (or you're fired lol) :D

edited to say PS mods..Chewie MADE me post this ;-)

  2. Oh you guys are right..I'm ready for revenge. I'm ready to stick his little head into battery acid and slowly lower him into it over a 24 hour period while he dangles by his tail from some tooth floss hahahahha (clap)(rock2)(naughty)

(whoa...surprised myself with that one hahahaha)

Seriously..I'm mega ticked..I spend hours lovin' on that little clam and now all I have is an empty shell and the start of World War III. I guess I have to be grateful it wasn't the $300 Tuamotu I'm searching for lol...not that money is the point but a $300 prime rib feast for a worm is beyond something I can handle (enforcer)

So I'm stealing hubbies prized Tupperware and I'm gonna make a small hole in the top and I'm putting in a nice tasty piece of seafood...sounds like it will work? This thing is HUGE (well to someone with a fear of worms it's huge...you know 4 inches can look like 2 feet hahahahha) and I still have a couple more clams in there (scary)(scary)(scary)

  3. Well, that's another "marine rule" that has to be changed because this clam was in awesome health. Bright full mantle...as the saying goes..."happy as a little clam".

    boo-hoo.

and what makes it worse is I have a life changing fear of worms and when I say fear...I mean we moved from the valley to the Central Oregon High Desert because in the desert there are NO WORMS hahahhaha. Y'know what it's like not to be able to walk up your drive after a rain storm in the valley because the drive if full of evil spawn worms.

and now I know that thing is in there are so are my other clams....[language filter] (flame)

    (flame)

  4. Y'all know that...straw that broke the camels back. Well this morning I got up took a look into my tank with the blue leds on and OMG I couldn't believe my eyes, coming out of my PRIZE neon green maxima was a giant bristle worm...the clam was surrounded by slime, released from the rock right away and had noting but the tiniest piece of flesh left at one end.(sad)

    RIP little buddy

That stinkin' worm ATE my entire clam.

I've had salt tanks for 18 years now and I'm wondering if I'm just wasting my time...y'ever feel that way? It's not even the money, it's seeing these magnificent creatures die in my care (sad)

I have my bonded picasso's in that tank and I'm really reluctant to get rid of them...I really wub them.

I'm almost thinking of taking out ALL of my LR - bleaching it ALL of any life forms and starting a 100% sterile tank.

    arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (sad)(sad)(sad)(sad)

  5. 29 gallon aga with a bonded pair of ORA bred Picasso clowns (yahoo)(dancing)

There's nothing I'd change about my tank. I've already chucked everything that was an impulse buy so everything I have now is 100% wanted. Only thing I am thinking about is upping to a 40b so I can get a collection of Tuamotu maximas going. If I do I'll just move everything from my 29 across to the 40B and store the 29.

Edited to say that's not quite correct...I do have an ugly blue crocea that I'm not too happy with. I'm thinking of making up a nice garlic and butter dip and seeing how tasty they are. Anyone know how long to saute them and at what heat?

  6. 33 degrees !!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHA you valley folks are so funny (laugh) That's shorts and slippers weather (whistle) (Just Kidding) ;)

We've had quite a few days snowfall in Central Oregon already in fact as I type I have snow on my front lawn where the shadow from the house is...and driving to the Ducks game last Saturday over the Santiam was just like a Winter wonderland (not to mention driving back at 1.30 a.m.)

  7. That's a good way of putting it racefan :D I watched a good show on the Mayans the other day and how after each of the "rollovers" in the past they believe they've come back in different forms...like Mud people etc. Only of course this time it ends and doesn't rollover.

Did anyone go to opening night of the 2012 movie last night? The special effects look awesome. We try to make sure we have a family movie night at least once a month...go out for dinner off to a movie and then to Sonic for drinks after :D so 2012 is this weeks choice....sure hope it's better than "The Collector"...I think I spent half of that one with my fingers in my ears and my eyes closed hahahaha. That's the downside of letting the kid pick the movie lol.

  8. I have a feeling the news organizations are going to have a field day with this one :D It's still 2 years away and it's talked about almost everyday. Today I heard that Nasa has scientists posted just to respond to e-mails from people convinced the world is coming to an end in 2 years, they're trying to tell people that there is NO scientific evidence that anything is going to happe. People are even accusing the government of cover-ups. They were saying they were shocked that so many people really believe it's all coming to an end (end of the Mayan calendar for anyone not in the know) The scarey thing is the more it's talked about the more some folks will start to wonder.

I remember back in 2000....I had a neighbor stock gas and food and supplies like he was going to be living in a fallout shelter for the next 30 years.

There are a lot of fearful folks, I just hope the "press" doesn't prey on their vulnerability (sad)

...and I also hope that parents make sure they tell their kids that nothing is going to happen...sometimes kids overhear things and take stuff to heart.

and on a side note...I'm off to see the movie next week...looks good (whistle)(clap):D

  9. So, sorry to change the subject here but who was at last nights Ducks game? We we're and it was AWESOME. I was really mad that we missed last weeks game - especially when we drove over to the stadium to check out the action. I didn't think we'd see such a rout again this season....'til last night 52 - 6 (and we gave them that 6 (wife) GO DUCKS "go home cougars go home, go home cougars go home" (laugh)(whistle)(rock2) hehehehhehe.

We're both sooooo raspy this morning though from all the "O noise" :D

    GO DUCKS.

  10. Well babysitters 'ain't gonna work...not with a retired hubby who was a police officer for 38 years...no way...ain't happening lol

I'll either have to take my chances with things surviving or sell things off seperately. Take this thread as a warning to anyone nearing retirement age...unless you seriously plan on spending every day at home. Of course I could come up with some water tight container and put them in the RV hahaha ';-)

  11. Oh wow...you guys are THE greatest. I love my little piece of the puddle and it gives me a great amount of pleasure but being an animal lover I'd hate to see anything suffer.

Maybe us CO reefers need to set up a "call list" of other trusted reefers for "visits". I have a few folks who feed the ponies and dogs but everytime I've left the tank I've come back to ... well basically filth.

Ii know I'd be more than happy helping anyone out.

    Thanks all...you've calmed my fears.

I'm going to try a home made ATO while I'm at home to see how it does.
