  1. looking good roy! I am jealous of your Bubble Gum Monster!!
  2. Oh and I havn't tried the berghia's either so it will be interesting to see if the locals have any better luck with them than others I have heard.
  3. I will try the acid and report back to you, as I have tried every other method, other than boiling them, which I wouldn't really want to do since it would kill all the beneficial bacteria in the lr, but thats just me.
  4. looking good curtis!! I can't believe you are considering trading all of your corals for a new tank!! Mostg of those are one of a kind and hard to replace, tanks are definitely not one of a kind but I do understand your circumstance. A friend of mine who moved here from nebraska had his lfs hold all of his corals until his tank was cycled and he was ready for them, then they overnighted them to him and it worked out real well for him. Just a thought.
  5. they are virtually indestructible I bet as soon as they had a food source they would pop right back out.
  6. I won't be satisfied until there is water in that bad boy! Pick up the pace
  7. I have tried the freezer method too, but they lived :*( the only thing so far that has worked is drilling them out of the lr. I am told by a good friend that worked for a public aquarium that muratic acid is the only way to go.
  8. Looks awesome I will be following this one closely
  9. pretty darn cool. Its amazing how fish can be "trained" Seahorses eating out of a trough now mandarins out of a beer mug, too funny.
  10. Shoot I dropped 12 large peppermints into mine and they haven't touched any of them....next I am using muratic acid burn baby burn
  11. took a day for them to change my acct once I signed up
  12. Yea but your tank is much larger than a glass, not to mention there are predators in your tank as well. You should at least do some searches and read what others have experienced.
  13. Yeah you did make me think for a second thats for sure Hopefully I will see ya tomorrow!
  14. wow thats too funny, and a good read. I especially liked the part about the shoving the shrimp down the drain while maintaining eye contact, that had me rolling.
  15. I was told by quite a few people, and read in quite a few searches on other forums, that these guys are worthless and not worth the time as they never really did any eradication. Buyer beware
  16. Wow thats unfortunate! Utah is a beautiful state too though. My I ask what is bringing you there?
  17. lol why would he give you half of the profits of corals from his tank I have a photographic memory and I remember seeing each and every one of those pieces in his tank. You would have a lot more of my cash if you would move up here I have a hard time turning down beautiful coral that are right in front of my face. I looking forward to getting some of your new corals though so feed those suckers and watch em grow cfm is a long ways away I don't know if I can wait that long! So are you going to be at the party this saturday? Role call who is going??
  18. I have had it for around 3 months now i'm thinking. Definitely a slower grower when compared to some the other encrusting monti's like the sunset and superman. Mine is brownish purple base with neon green polyps. I will try and get a pic tonight.
  19. I was in yesterday chatting with isaac, and it sounds like saturday is the day!! WOOOO PArtY!!! Oh and jody, I bought all the frags you wanted just for spite lol
  20. Oh i was asking you if it was more efficient or if there was a benefit to plumbing it inline, other than one less powerhead. Refugium is definitely an interesting concept, great for a place for pods and little critters to reproduce, also can help to prevent your ph from lowering during the night if you have it's lights come on opposite as the display, but as far as nutrient export, minimal if that.
  21. Cool glad to hear you figured it out! Nothing scarier than getting a little jolt every time you stick your hand in your tank eek! Thats even better they are replacing them for you, thats god customer service.
  22. looks good!! that first one is stunning! I like that last one too...so much I bought a piece of it too awhile back
  23. yea you enjoy that snow sitting inside behind your computer I will be thinking of you (laugh)
  24. was that directed to little old me??
