Sept Meeting

Great Meeting! (rock2)

My wife and I enjoyed having everyone out to the house. It was so nice to see everyone and have a relaxing time trading and discussing our tanks and ideas. And yes...of course I enjoyed "showing" my tank.

The turnout and activies reminded me of meetings from long ago when everyone got together to trade and "talk tanks". They are very informative. We are very fortunate to have such a friendly group of people as members and need to keep these types of meetings alive.

Let's plan to do this type of meeting more often...

My wife sends a special thanks to everyone who very thoughfully brought snacks as it really provided a wide assortment of munchies to choose from while we mingled.

And Scott....did I overdose??? No... Happy??? Yes!!!.....good drugs will do that to you though...hope my back feels better soon or I will be in a drug treatment center.

And Ben...as per my wife....you are not allowed to leave the wife at home as she is the new president of the "Wives of Saltwater Geeks Club" and is needed at the next meeting.

Go figure....next thing you know THEY will have their own forumn!...lol(laugh)

It is our chance to to keep this hobbie alive and one of the best ways to keep things aquacultured is to trade from one to the other. The other great part is if you trade frags out and then something happens to your tank you can always get a frag back of what you lost... We use to have meetings where everyone brought a cooler that was full of frags (drooler).. Every one would sit around and talk about their tanks and about what worked and didnt work... It seems as if there is way to much discussion on the politics of the forumn at the meetings (fishhit)and not enough talk about what matters....our tanks(icon)... lets get back to the basics of this hobbie and enjoy our tanks and let others enjoy them as well... (Rim)

This is just one of the reasons why I posted http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8655about Seahorse recently... Isac is a great guy and always looks at things as a hobbiest first and profit secondly...Nice job..

I have been in the store and have heard him tell customers not to buy a fish because they were not going to have a high success rate and have seen them get pissed and leave... Most people that are truly interested in the hobby WILL appreciate his honesty and wisdom and make better choices. In the end it will eventually lead to more profit for the store because the customer will have faith and trust in a LFS that is honest and come back for more purchases.

I bought the acrylic from Seahorse 100.00 that’s the lid and every thing and the pump was 25 with pluming 150.00 it’s a 6” tube 18” high. I know when I looked up the tube it was 134.00 alone.
