I just upgraded my tank and now am interested in a RO/DI unit so i dont have to buy so much water. Can any one give me advise on which one I would need or should use, I have a 75g tank and a limited budget. If any one has a used one or just advise about which brand to buy or not to buy that would be great!! Thanks for your time Geoff

others in my tank The tank its self is appx 3.5 months old, i have a few basic corals and some crabs and snails, a star fish and one small bulb anemone. I have appx 60lbs of live rock in my 55 gallon tank! CCR, it is odd that we have both had this happen, How long after you getting them did this happen? I got them appx 3-4 days after they came in from Saltwater fanta-seas

All 3 of my tangs were fine and swimming around and eating last night, this morning when I got up two of them were dead. The other one looks fine and there are not any marks or abnormal coloring. All of my water levels are just fine. I am still new to the whole saltwater tank thing, but I am trying to do it right. Can any one think what could have caused this to happen!! I got the tangs about 2 Weeks ago. please help, I dont want my other fish to die!!! (i have 1 Chriomis, 1 Coral Angel Beauty, and now only one tang!! Thanks

Its Geoff again, thanks for all the advise on lighting. I ended up going with a t5 setup. It looks great!! Now I have a question about how much live rock i need. I do have a 55 gallon tank and want it to be more of a reef tank than a fish tank. I have appx 58lbs now, but it does not look like much, my tank looks kindof empty. There is not much room on the rocks that I do have to attach all the things that I want. I currently have some Leather coral, a brain coral, some Frogspawn corals. I attached a pic so you can see what I mean! Whats your advise??? Thanks Geoff

What I want in my tank! I would like a little of everything some Fish but mostly Softies, LPS, SPS, Clams. I would like it to be more of a reef tank than a fish tank!! thanks

First of all.. Hello to everyone!!!! I have just started my First Saltwater tank about two months ago. I am loving it so far!!! I have a 55g tank with basic lighting. I am looking to up grade my lights already. I want to have more of a reef tank, so i will need the right lighting!! I do not have much money as of right now, i need some thing that would work for at least a while. looking to spend around 150.00, less if possible. I have only the basic lights that the tank came with new. It came with 2 21" hoods with just regular florcent lights. Please le me know what you think would be best for me and if you have any lights that you would like to sell me. Also if you have any other things that you think that i should know, please let me know!! I do plan on attending the x-mas party!! Thanks for your time! Geoff Walker
