Are flatworms the cause of "black spot" disease known in tangs? I had QT my tang for several weeks and just put him back into the reef, now i am seeing small signs of this disease comming back. It was fully gone before putting him in but now its comming back. What is the best way to treat my reef for these worms? I try not to add many chems if i dont have to, but how about that chem you all were talking about earlier? Do you think this could cure my reef? Thanks

I have some rock and a pvc pipe in the QT so he can hide, ive tried brine because thats what he loved in the big tank, but now hes rejecting. I just did another water change tonight on him, hopefully that may calm him down. Seaweed is the next guess, he was pretty hesitant with the seaweed in the tank, almost as if he was scared of the clip haha. Well thanks for the imput. Gotta hope for the best.

  4. Cool fish

Orange Shoulder Tangs are pretty cool, I had a fuzzy dwarf lion mixed in with my reef and he did fine, accept the fact you cant put little fish or shrimp in there or they will be a spendy treat for your lion. Tangs are cool, they keep your system clean and are very hearty fish. Angle fish are risky, especially if your thinking corals. They love to eat polyps i hear but they are awsome fish to look at. Foxface/ Rabbitfish are pretty good fish in keeping your algea under control. My buddy has an awsome naso tang that pretty much acts as the leader of his crew. Hes the smallest in there but everyone schools with it. Plus they are people friendly, at least this guy is, the naso lets us touch it or pet it, its pretty cool to show people. anyways i hope this helps lata

Thanks guys, ill try it out. Somethings gotta work, ive never had a sick fish before. Also how long would you leave him in QT? I was thinking at least until he starts back up eating? Nothing is in the tank now such as livestock accept 3 little chromis ive been watching and they havent shown any signs of black spot. Hes been in QT for 1 week, i was thinking at least 1 more? Thanks guys

  6. Hey everyone, new member here down in Corvallis, Or. This site looks awsome and it seems you can learn a lot from each other. I cant wait to see it build! Anyways, currently i am running a 75 gal mix reef tank with a mix of mushrooms, zoos, my favorite as of now my yellow sun coral, its doin awsome. Plus i just picked up a bright purple fungia, and a massive huge brain coral from Coral Reef Pet Center, in Salem, both of them have been doing amazing after introducing them in. Thanks a lot guys for the great deals, i strongly appreciate it! I hope to get some pictures up sooner or later as soon as i get ahold of a digital camera.
