  1. Hi all. (I apologize ahead of time, im using my HTC) The petco $1 per gallon sale will run from the 24th through the 31st. As of right now 20H , 20L and 29 are the tanks on sale. 55 gallons are listed at $79.99 but this could change like it did last year. All stands are 10 percent off.

  2. Hey JDV what kind of stand does AGA make for the 40G breeder? Is it solid wood at least and what is the cost? Later Ryan

    The stand looks like this:

    104_40breeder.jpg

It's made out of partical board and pine I believe.

The stand is 139.99 I think, I can get check back tommorow. The stand is also 10% off though.

We got more tanks in yesterday, so we still have 4 40B's, 4 45's, 1 55G.

  3. they said it wouldnt but it wasnt supposed to be last year either....but it was

Originally it was for just AGA, a week after (still a month+ prior) then we found out it was going to be included in a revised list. It is official though the 30/33 Cube will not be in the sale, just the standard 20-55G AGA tanks.

  4. They did find them' date=' they were stupid enough to take pictures with her sons digital camera of all the partying and even stilling the beer and forgot the camera at the house. They all went to the sons school.[/quote']

Yeah I read that and have been charged, hopefully all of them plea and don't take it to court, would make a civil suit more speedy for them. Honestly the couple this happened to needs to take these kids and parents and ring them out for all their worth. I'm sick of hearing stories like this, people need to learn to respect another persons property.

  5. I just called the N hayden meadows petco and they she had no idea about any such sale.

JDV, I guess petco does not carry the 37g

I don't think you talked to a manager. I'm familar with the people who work at that store.

As far as I know, we don't carry a 37T and it isn't something I've seen being able to be ordered.

But I can guarantee you the sale is the 26th to 4th on the tanks I listed above.

  6. They said that all they could find were the 30g cube/stand combos and not the tanks themselves.

An interesting thing is that there were Oceanic cubes, but they were labeled as AGA 22 gallon cube tanks even though they clearly had the Oceanic stamp/label on the front of the tank.

    I just read your post on that forum;

I found this right above your post.

    170925 AGA-20G 24x12x16 HI BK TANK

    170933 AGA-20G 30x12x12 LNG BK TANK

    170941 AGA-29G 30x12x18 BK TANK

    170976 AGA-55G 48x13x20 BK TANK

    170968 AGA-40B 36x18x16 BK TANK

Also, when they told you the 33 was in a combo, this is correct. The combo includes the tank, top and strip light. You can't buy just the tank, but this combo WOULD be for $33 if it was on sale again, it doesn't seem like it will be

  7. I wonder how many shots I can get off before the neighbors call the police?

The only noise his gun makes is the pellet hitting the fence when he's shooting at it.

Can't say much for his aim, he hit it once I believe, and just stunned it. They don't actually have the velocity to do physical damage.

  8. Thanks for the inside scoop on the sale. I would not have blamed you if I did not get a tank. Besides, there is always a deal on used tanks that come up here or on craigslist. But this is a NEW tank, and I get to do fun stuff like drill holes, and make my own stand. :)

For now, yes. I do have three pieces of "dead" rock to add that I got from wanareef that are sitting in a tub of water right now, along with a bunch of "dead" LR rubble. I plan on using my 45g as the sump (after putting in some baffles and such). I also want to get some cheep lights and put them over part of the sump to make a 'fuge. Then I can get the piece of chaeto out of my display (just shoved in a corner, wedged in between two rocks for now). Other than that I am just moving everything over.

    Cheers!

Sounds cool; I'll have to keep up on the progress on this, might get a few idea's for the future. :)

  9. My father also had a huge problem with racoons as well, he had to put up the electric fencing also. The easiest way to protect against them is either to get a liner or build one with an immediate drop off of atleast 18" at the edge and have overhanging flat rocks, and get some deep parts around 3 feet or so, adding plants and such makes it even more difficult.

Or you can do what my father does, sit in his backyard all night long with a pellet gun.
