  1. Welcome! Not too far from you in Gresham (well, compared to Tigard or Beaverton)(laugh)

If you're thinking 90 gallon, might as well go with the 120! The 4x2x2 footprint is nice, giving you width and depth front to back. But yes, taller tank=longer arms! I'm 6'5" so reaching the bottom is easy! It getting under the stand for my problems! DOH!

Ok, next person should be talking you up from a 120 to a 180!! (laugh)

  2. Hey guys-

I have a rock of green star polyps that is about 6"x4"x3". I'm sure I can break the rock up if more than one person wants some. I also have a rock of green button polyps that I can break up too. There are about 60-70 polyps that are about the size of a quarter. These are a nice color green with a touch of white mixed in and will spread fairly quick too. Not looking for much - if you have some kind of softie or lps I would accept that, or for the newer reefers I'd gladly give up a chunk for nuthin! Send me a PM if you're interested. Thanks!

  3. IMO, those snails kinda look like baby stomatella snails. Hard to tell. Do they move fairly fast for a snail? If they do, they are stomatella. Good for the tank and wont bother anything! HTH

  4. +1 on the copper thing. I remember you posting about having trouble keeping snails, which leads me to believe that copper - or some other metal is in your tank. I think I have a copper test if you wanna grab it and see if that's the problem. Have you bought any rock from someone that had a FOWLR that may have dosed copper? Or have you medicated your tank lately? Let me know if you want that test kit - I think I PM'd my number the other day.

    HTH

  5. You could also look for a female spotted mandarin - they're hard to find sometimes though. My pair swim around the tank together most of the time. I also vote for anthias as well. I like the bartletts, sunburst, or purple queens. Oh, and a vote for the midas blenny - one of my faves! HTH!

  6. Not to hijack your thread, but when you get rid of your extras I have a bunch coming in tomorrow too. I'll have about a hundred extras too, so just say the word when you get rid of your extras. Same deal - drop me a frag of zoos, LPS, softies, etc...

  7. I have a hydnophora, but it's the kind that grows in a plate or shelf. In the first few months I had mine it had gotten a couple of bare spots on it. Someone had suggested to add some 'strontium and mylebidawhatever' to the tank. That seemed to work wonders for mine - although it's not the fingering type. It's done great since and it's huge - about 1.5 foot round. Just a suggestion...
