  1. You might have to do this

    or this

    to get this

Sometimes if you just stuff a air line down the middle and keep going until it stops is another way to silence it somewhat

What you did by adding all those extra pcs changed the orginal design

you want to keep it simple.

  2. It's not hard to load them up.  Get a photobucket acct, load them up and then click on the one you want to load, you will have 1/4 choices on the right, click on "img" and then just paste

  3. So I have a question for everyone and maybe I just need to test with a different kit but I've been using the red Sea kit to watch my cycle on my rock a few weeks ago ammonia dropped to 0 and nitrite has been off the chart since. I feel like it should have dropped at least some now I'm guessing 3 weeks with no drop. Any ideas?

Do a big WC, then test again in a couple of days.  Helps to mark off on a calendar - my memory is not the same as it use to be

  4. Looking to have an ATO Reservoir built nothing too fancy but similar to Trigger Systems box that holds 5 Gallons like here

The major difference I'm looking for is a hole drilled towards the bottom to allow for a float switch that I can hook up to my break out box to alert me when the water is low. I don't have the equipment or bits to drill acrylic hence why i don't just order that one. If there's anyone out there that can do some good acrylics let me know :)

You don't need anything special just a drill and the right size bit, just go slow.  I would not put a float switch that low and drill thru, just in case of leaks (especially if there's a hole under the water line).  They make optical sensors you could try.  Float switches wires are not to be submerged anyway.

  5. Answered your PM

Depending on your bracing you might not be able to get  72" of overflow into the tank (probably more like 70"-71" with inside measurement) and it'll be 60" or even 48" that you can snake in past the bracing.

You would be better to install an internal overflow for surface skimming rather than an external one, or add something  like the "ghost" type overflow, diy 2 boxes but all your really need is one.

  6. This definitely works, I have used this method a few times.

    Tip:

If the pipe is 1.25" or bigger, just heat the inner pipe with the torch and roll it out with the needle nose.

Works great, no hole saw required!

I like this approach better, hate to ruin a hole saw with a torch

  7. Just stay with the flow thru, easier.  The other way you would have to split your overflow to two different corners then return in the middle, I have built both but the flow thru is the simplest and for the baffle after the fuge you can put teeth in it to hold back the macro

  8. Fallback OFF
    Set OFF
    If Sw1 CLOSED Then ON
    If Sw2 OPEN Then OFF
    Defer 002:00 Then ON
    Min Time 010:00 Then OFF

this is my current prog on my Apex, sw1 is a std float switch,  sw2 the float is turned upside down

For you program guru's I want to add a line to turn it off "Period" after 10 mins of running because this line is not working "Min Time 010:00 Then OFF"

    TIA
