  2. ph and temp daily

no3, po4, dkh, Ca and salinity monthly

I check mg about every 6 months, doesn't fluctuate so i see no need for regular testing.

I used to check weekly, even daily when i was first getting my ca and no3 reactor up and running, but now that things are dialed in a have switched to monthly. I use salifert test kits, and may switch to elos......i'll give you an answer to a question you didn't ask and tell you the params i shoot for. No3 .5ppm, Ph 8.3, Temp 77, po4 0ppm, dkh 9, Ca 420ppm, and salinity 35ppt

...for those trying to figure out the "salinty 35ppt" ppt = Parts Per Table spoon. Just kidding! But I've never heard of anyone measureing salinity like that and it struck me funny....just a joke not trying to affend anyone

  3. Basically it controlls four power heads and there are four preset functions, two Marine and two Reef. The programs include Gentle, Rolling, Turbulent,or Alternating. Also there are modes you can use Night-mode, automatic 8 hr period of calmer water at night and 2 feeding modes, specific for Marine or Reef.

  4. Yep...I agree. Thanks Dave Durr and his wife "The Commander" for opening your home. Real good meeting. Randy's presentation was real informitive and Daves Clownhouse was off the hook. It was nice to put faces with these forum names as well, nice to meet everone.

  5. It just seems a pretty bold move to get out of a solid market (MH @ VHO) unless they think the T5's are going to take over. How big of a tank can you light with the 14" maybe a 24" or ? for 950.00 doesnt sound like an entry level tank to me

14" fixture will light a 14" tank...there is NO spead in light. It's not like a VHO or MH the 24"Solaris I tested 15 inches off the water spread the light 24.5".

  6. I know times are tuff for everyone right now and corals are not on the priority list...I need to get rid of some xenia it's Red Sea White Xenia. The colonie is 4-5 " with about six heads the first person with a reasonable offer will get the piece. Bring some offers..don't be shy.
