I've allowed clams to be exposed to air without any harmful results. Never had to burp one. They will squirt you with water, if you're not careful.

I have a dehumidifier running 24/7, it's a 25 pinter.

It pulls most all of the moisture out of the air, no problems with sweaty windows or mildew on the drapes.

We've been using this unit for well over two years with no problems.

Have one mounted and place it on the wall above your tank. :- )

I used that plastic light diffuser or egg crate. I put it over the top of my tank for about a week and a half. I used four pieces and removed the two center sections and then moved the two end pieces towards the center (directly under the bulbs) after a week. Then I removed those pieces after a couple of days.

You could use two layers if you want and remove the top layer after a week. You just want to diffuse the light or shade your tank so the critters don't get burnt.

Yes, it is 4 x 65 watts. The bulbs will need to be replaced as they are just shy of a year old.

There are no real rules for the reefing hobby. What works for you might not work for me, or the next guy. If you want a recommendation for what size of sump to use under your 65 gal. tank, I would say as big as you can fit in your stand.

Don't forget to plan for upgrades you might do in the near future, as far as available space under your stand for calc. and phosban reactors, additional pumps, Q.T. tank, top off bucket or whatever else you think you might add to your system down the road.

There never seems to be enough room under the tank.

You really don't want to use bioballs in a reef tank, that's why you put live rock in your tank.

I'll sell you the same size of sump for way cheaper than that.

That's what I'm using. A five gallon bucket with a powerhead hooked to a hose to the sump.

Simple and cheap.

You could apply the same thing to a two gallon container.

This hobby is expensive, it's nice to find a low cost item every now and then.

My auto top off cost me $15.00, it's not fancy but it works as well as the high priced ones.

For $105.00 you can buy alot of frags....=)
