  1. I don't think you could have a good looking reef with those dimensions. It's just to weird looking. Looks like the type of tank sitting in a hospital. What if someone bumps into it? Interesting concept though. Just don't like football shaped tanks.

  2. Good to know Craig. Although it goes against my principles of laziness I may try that on a couple of my frags.

Curious if anyone is considering the Reef-resh or is using Prodibio or Zeo or even Vodka for that matter? I'm bored with success and would like to kill something.

Don't think I will try vodka but if the reefroids works out I may try the reef-resh out. I'm going to wait and see how everyone else liked or disliked the stuff.

  3. Brad, when I tried it I mixed up some in a cup and used a syring to spot feed the SPS directly. They went crazy for it. The only thing I did do was turn off the power heads while I was spot feeding. Also gave some to the mushrooms and they ate it up as well.

  4. I guess I spoke too soon. Just got my dime bag today. Direct fed my two SPS frags. Now I know why they send it in a dime bag. The stuff is like crack for corals. Mind you I have never cared for SPS before so I really don't know what I witnessed. Both frags shot out some slimy stuff and sucked the stuff back in. I assume that's a good thing right?

  5. I was going to move to SF a few months ago but the job fell through. I posted on several forums to get as much advice as possible. What I was going to do was first have someone sit for all the living creatures. Then when I was ready for the move I would put everything into bags, except the liverock, and have it all in a big cooler. Since I would have everything in the car heat wouldn't be to much of an issue but you could get a power converter to power a heater as well. I wouldn't worry about power heads because the car movement would keep the water moving. Maybe and air bubbler? I was planning to take my sandbed but that would have been a huge ordeal and the smell would be awful. There are alot of locals that will fish sit for you here. And several of the LFS will help you out as well. One thing I considered when I was planning to move was just selling off my livestock and starting over. Many of us will help you get started again with frags and livesand. The liverock, zoos, mushrooms, ricordia, etc. I would think, could handle the long trip. I have had zoos in the dark for two weeks and they came back. Sorry for the long post. Keep us informed TJ.

  6. Dude' date=' you need a gunny sack and some rocks, and a deep lake to throw............not really, that totally sucks man![/quote']

LOL......Thanks guys. You know for what I paid for my clowns it probably works out to be around 300 bucks a pound. Nice dinner for ChowMein(my cat). I named her that because it drives my kids nuts when I say we're having chowmein for dinner tonight.

  7. OK I need to vent. I just found my cat eating my clown. I think she got onto the tank and swiped her out. Her paw was wet if anyone wants to know. I can't put up with this. The cat has to go. I think she got my other clown too. I had a pair now I'm down to one fish. I'm so mad I could puke. They used to hang out around the overflow box when the lights go out and I think that is where she got them. (censored) !!!!!!!! The cat is going to the SPCA this weekend. Well on the plus side I guess this is a good reason to go to the LFS this weekend.

  8. I did the XBOX Live thing for a few months, got my butt kicked at HALO by a bunch of kids with a nasty mouth. I got bored with it. I too love the first person shooters but haven't played in months. Once I pick up a 360 I'm sure that will all change.
