I've been here all along. Just had many family matters hit us over the last 5 years. But I think, (using that word carefully), that we are back to some form of stability. Just moved into a new house and there is this empty spot that I think a tank would fill nicely.

After being gone for several years I see this place is still up, running, growing, and doing what it was suppose to do: help in sharing info & growing a better reef community!!

I see some familiar names and A LOT of new ones! That's awesome!

When I stepped down from being the Vendor Relations and needed to leave the site & hobby never thought I'd think of doing it again but...... One thing is for sure you all deserve a pat on the back for keeping this website/community up running & growing!!

Thinking I might get back into the "tank" hobby in some form or another, (actually thinking Discus- but maybe SW), now that some of life as settled down. So I might be back around again. Never know, one thing I've learned is never say anything is 100% because life can really throw some curves your way.

I just moved out to Eugene from Pennyslvania about 6 months ago.. I couldn't bring my 33 long out with me but I've already started up a nice 15 g nano, and if I can get off work I would love to come to the meeting and meet some local reefers!!

Well let me shine some light on this WinCo thing......... (I have personal experience).

WinCo does have the best profit and growth margins of any grocery chain in it competing regions. But they do this by saving money elsewhere. They do not spend money on things like fancy decorations and they are not remodeling things to add coffee shops and such into their stores. They do not use high school kids to help bag/take out your groceries.

BUT they do buy by the truckload and save a ton of money buying in bulk. You would not believe how often they do this!

So for Jody to be the lowest priced dealer in the area I think he would need to have 5x's the holding areas he does now, and that does not include all of his web sales.

I'll state my opinion again.......... I think Jody has great service and is a great guy, which would make up for alot if his prices were higher. But in the end it is totally up to Jody, no matter how much we throw into the mix. What he says goes! :)

I'll be bringing some items too, from donations we have recieved. So hopefully everyone will get something!
