vanz Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Hi guys, it's been awhile! Okay...not sure if this is suppose to happen, but it happened on 2 bulbs. I bought AquaSun Bulbs 10000K, and at first it was really bright. Awhile later...not sure how long, but when I checked it again, the bulb was barely lit. I thought it was a defect, so I replaced it with another. Like the other bulb, it went on pretty bright. A few days later when I checked it, the same thing happened.(scratch) What's going on? Is that how it's suppose to be? It was bright because it was burning in, so now looking barely lit is normal? Quote
SamatSLS Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 What kind of ballast are you running? Try swapping your lamps that are running normal into the socket spots of the dim lamps. It's possible that you have a very weak connection. Try swapping the dim lamps into the brighter location(s) as well to determine if the lamp is bad. It's also possible that your ballast is damaging the bulbs. Sam Quote
vanz Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 Hi Sam, I'm running it on the tek light fixture. I did swap out bulbs to the brighter location, still dim. Quote
SamatSLS Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 You have a bad ballast then. I would call our repair tech at 360-823-0318. His name is Donovan. He can further troubleshoot, and if necessary, arrange for repair. Thanks! Sam Quote
