downhill_biker
Cost is a huge factor for me, and I was wondering where the best place to get a pH tester is. I dont care if the resolution is .1 or .01, so obviously .1 would be cheaper, but I dont know what brands hold up reasonably well and what is most cost effective. impur
Are you looking for a digital tester? The cheapest is test kits. After that i'd check out ebay for a Hanna handheld digital tester. I have a Hanna TDS meter and it works great.

downhill_biker
i think i will end up buying either from you or online. i understand that Joel needs business, but to raise Mg i am going to have to add a lot, and he wants $10 a lb, and bulkreefsupply has it for $14 for 8 lbs. Joel told me to look online, and that if i didn't live close it was probably better to but online.

downhill_biker
where did you get the MAG flake. maybe i am shopping in the wrong area. bulkreefsupply has a 3 gallon for $14, but if there is somewhere i can get it local i will. Nyles
Used to get at advanced but he closed, Joel I thought got his hands on his supplier, but maybe not...???
Nyles
I don't really use it much anymore, I got a good lead on premium salt with high mag in it, and it cost about $25 per bucket less than what I could get regular salt local.
downhill_biker
what is the salt you use. i use reef crystals, but it doesnt seem to keep the Mg where i want it. it is about 1130 ppm Mg, and i would like to get it higher. let me know what you have to sell, and how much you want for it.
