Jay
Has anyone used these for coraline cleaning? They have a long handle and I need something to reach the bottom of my tank. Unfortunitly my tanks top is really high and I need a ladder to even reach halfway down. Cleaning it is a job and my magnet cleaner was scratching my tank so I neglected to do it. Well with my cal reactor keeping the alk at 11 and cal set at a cool 440 - 450 the coraline really grows fast ( so do the corals ). I still have not bought a new magnet and cant decide what one is actually worth the money. I have a problem spending 70 bucks for a algae cleaning magnet....which is what the good ones are going for. Jay Does the kent scraper work good when useing the lonh handle?
andy
No. I can't get sufficient leverage with the long handle. The Kent 'stubby' scraper is the best I've found, though.
impur
Yah i always end up holding it close to the blade like the stubbys. The blades bend easy too and are 3+ bucks each. I'm going back to razor blades and some PVC.
Michael7979
I cut the long version down for that reason.
