andy
FYI. Coralvue's Reeflux bulbs are pulse-start bulbs. This isn't mentioned on their site, nor at any retailer's site I've yet found. In fact, hellolights.com (incorrectly) identifies them as probe-start bulbs. This is confirmed by a recent email conversation between me and coralvue. If you are running them on a probe-start ballast (as I am) you're losing about 20% of their output, and may have trouble starting them at any given time. Le sigh... andy
One of the Coralvue Reeflux 12k 250W SE bulbs I bought all of 4 months ago will no longer fire. Coralvue's generous 30 day warranty is obviously no help. I've never had a premature failure with any of the XM or Hamilton bulbs I've used -- Reeflux are now on my $#!+ list. (flame) Anyone interested in the other one? It's working fine, only 4 months old... tempting... tempting...

plack
I have had one SE 10K Reeflux on a hamilton magnetic Probe start ballast with no issues for 6 months. I also Have got one DE 10 K Reeflux and one 20K coralvue non-reeflux on pfo hqi ballasts no problems. I take it you have tried a spare buld to see if it fires for a week solidly ? I bought some wierd brand off e-bay once. It lasted 2 weeks then it stopped firing constantly. Verry Irritating- But this hoby is not easy or cheap and if youve been in it for a few years you 'll notice no-one is free of problems long term. It seems sompthing's always happening to someone somewhere regardless of experience levels!! Good luck :-) Paul
