andy
#1 and #2 look like cyano to me (stringy w/ bubbles). #3 could be red calcareous algae, or cyano; hard to tell from the picture.
ahreno
are any of them good/bad?
EasyNow
"cyano" is a cyanobacter that will grow and cover glass and substrate. If it looks sort of like a somewhat slimy translucent red-brown phlegm sheet (YUM!) Here is some more info on cyano. They get distracted and off topic after a bit but there are hundreds of similar threads I am sure on some of the other sights. Calcerous algae is mostly just pretty and will encrust rock glass overflows etc.. It is usually somewhat slow growing. The downside is that the calcerous algae will leech the calcium out of your water to build itself. Cyas, EASY
