lquidglass
Trying to get some ideas on making some kind of frag tray for the side of my tank inside. I was thinking of some kind of magnetic tray for easy moving and attaching? Thanks,Stephan(scratch)
Michael7979
I have seen people use those suction-cup soap trays.......... eggcrate and some zip ties work too, can be build to fit.
spectra
How big of a tank are you using it on? Or should I say how thick is the glass? Also how many frags are you looking to stack on it? I built a rack for my sons tank with some magnets that were purchased on a group buy here on the board. It worked pretty good but could not hold alot of frags. I think it was roughly 6 inchs by 10 inchs.
lquidglass
Thanks everyone for input, Spectra thats what I was thinking just stumped. So I would think that the magnets would have to be covered with rubber or something? How did you attach the magnets and what did you use for the extra support? I wish I could just put hooks but the way that my canopy is set up I can't go that direction. Stephan.
spectra
The magnets were covered in plastic. The tank was a 29 so the glass was only a 1/4 inch thick. Also no supports and it worked great for what I wanted to use it for. What size is your tank?

impur
Go here for magnets http://www.kjmagnetics.com/ And hit up your local craft store for some casting resin. Should cost you about 15 bucks for a jug of it, enough to do probably 100 castings. Find a container, put the magnet in it with a small section of the eggcrate, fill with resin, let dry. And there you have magnetic frag trays
