Ninjabeaver Posted February 4, 2017 Share Posted February 4, 2017 No wonder I wasn't having luck keeping my calcium at the right level....I got sloppy and didn't double check my work when mixing up my calcium supplement by half. milesmiles902 Posted February 5, 2017 Share Posted February 5, 2017 I did a similar thing when I doubled the concentration of my alk solution. Dosage wise, a little bit of a change in a highly concentrated solution is much different than a little change in a low concentrated solution. My alk ended up going to 12 for a week or so. It was even scarier when I decided to switch my DIY alkalinity solutions from sodium carbonate (soda ash) to sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).
