Trenton Henderson
Why don't people not cover their circulation pumps? I've learned the hard way multiple times with sea stars and a Hawaiian sea cucumber. I decided to cover mine because of this. It's an MP40. Do I have worse luck beacause it's a small 55 gallon aquarium? If it were a bigger aquarium would this problem occur? If you cover your pumps let me know and why. If you don't, let me know why as well. Thanks, Trenton
Mitrillion
Because u have to take the fom off and clean it several times! But other then that it's a great way to not kill nems and the others you listed!
fishmanmike01
Ahh yes..... I've lost countless fish all due to the Mp and only the Mp. Even a purple tang one time. I run wp,s now and have seen fish literally bump into them and swim off with no issue. I think it may be a design issue with the Mp,s that was never addressed properly. I can't remember where, but I've seen a thread where someone had built a cage so to speak around their Mp out of gutter guard.
