Frank Posted July 1, 2012 Author Share Posted July 1, 2012 Olds 455, single point GM distributor, (not electronic - use to have a MSDS in it) - Now he is using just a coil...new points...new everything...no spark! Re_Run Posted July 2, 2012 Share Posted July 2, 2012 A lot of time it's missing of a ground for the system. or a bad condensor. Trace the system.. check the ground strap on the motor... take a test like hook it up to the positive on the bat. and touch the motor it should lite up // then touch the base of the dist. also should lite up. then hook to neg on batt. then check the power (pos. side of coil) should lite up. if all checks out.. then points to see if they are welded shut.. let me know...
