jmetz32
I have 3 branches in Xenia... The biggest one is thriving.. The 2 small ones are melting... Should I remove them? Is it bad for the tank?.. Or should I just leave them nd hope hey will revive? They've been melting for awhile now... I thought they would come back.. I'm starting to think they won't.. nelsz3
They may but they may not I think they are very finnicky Coral and can and will merely for no reason, I had blue pom pom for long time and with no change in parameters just melted , some came back up on the back glass and looks good for a day and then melting again
jmetz32
Will it release a toxin or anything when it melts hat is harmful to other things in the tank?
LC Scott
If you figure out why it melted let me know. (devil)

omarortiz
I have had small colonies melt and nothing really seems affected by it. As long as the colony is relatively small then the skimmer just skims it out pretty quickly. If you are still concerned and you are sure they are toast, then take out the rock and scrub off the xenia with a stiff brush.
nelsz3
If its just a stalk then your skimmer should take it out in the 125g. I had a softball size colony of it when it melted in my 75g I did a water change to be on to be safe side
