psaprilcruz
So I just noticed these on the glass of my tank. They are small and have a fan and look to grow in a spiral like pattern. The bigest one is about 1/8" in diameter. They are also on the flowerpot for the clowns and some of the rock. I know its not the best picture but its the best i could get. psaprilcruz
I don't think so, they are hard and when you touch them they retract like a featherduster.
cellowithgills
Are you referring to the white thing in the picture? That could be a type of feather duster, I've got thousands of them.
MVPaquatics
Yeah. Calcifying feather dusters. They are benign. Until they clog a pump impeller. They might rob some calcium etc to grow but usually represent a good system. However, an obscenely large population might indicate a high nutrient load or over feeding. They have to eat something
psaprilcruz
Thanks for the help. There are not very many of them, and all the water parameters are good. I spot feed verything and make sure all food is eaten, everyone knows when its time to eat even the hermits and shrimp and they come out to get there food first.
